We are trying to pick on of these places... Either LTT for dinner or Cape May for Breakfast? They pretty much have the same characters at both meal... But which one has better food, atmosphere, and experience? TIA!!!!

Anybody else have reviews/opinions of these places? We are closing in on our 180 day mark. HELP!!!!

I prefer LTT. I ate there last October before going to MNSSHP. The food was all good, turkey, steak, mac & cheese, salad. All good stuff.

I have eaten at both and I prefer LTT, Cape may is horrible or I think that way being from NE they have no clue what real seafood is. :)

We've done both and I voted for LTT. I like plated character meals better than buffets and prefer dinner food to lunch food.

I was thinking abou Cape May for breakfast. I have heard good things about both meals and am very confused.

I believe they want to know if they should go to Cape May for the character breakfast...The character breakfast is wonderful...The atmosphere is very calm, the character interaction is excellent, and the food selection is large...The food itself is mostly traditional breakfast foods and are done very well....The characters are dressed in their beach clothes and it usually includes Minnie, Goofy, Chip/Dale...We have had breakfast there four or five times and we loved it every time....

We have also been to LTT for dinner five times now and we enjoy that too...We love the atmosphere as well...Characters are great....Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip/Dale in their colonial costumes...Interaction is very good....Food is average...We really like that it served family-style because we do so many buffets during the week...We also like that they will bring very yummy chicken tenders for the kids even though it is not on the menu...The mac n cheese, veggies, salad, mashed potatos, and dessert (warm apples and vanilla icecream) are very good...The meat tends to be a bit dry and not very good....Overall, we really like it there very much...

I voted for Cape May based on food...The breakfast food there is better than the dinner food at LTT...The atmosphere and characters are great at both!

Ok, I think by your sig you are staying at Pop, right? So out of your 2 choices, I voted for LTT for dinner. The characters are good and the atmosphere is great. The dinner food, though, we only thought was so-so. I mean, I think we were a bit disappointed only because we LOVE the lunch food at LTT. However, it would make for a fun day to be at MK and then have a character meal right there. We do also love Cape May character breakfast, but we only go there when we stay at the Epcot resorts because it's so convenient. We have never made a special trip there when staying at other resorts because it seems out of the way to make it there in time for breakfast. I also wanted to add that if it's a character meal you are looking for and neither of those appeal too much to you, our kids love Chef Mickeys.

I agree that Cape May is a bit of a pain to get to if you don't have a car....But it is a great resort to visit at the holidays...They have a beautiful display in the lobby and a great way to start an Epcot or DHS day...We love the Beach Club at the holidays!!!!

If you have a car there is no problems getting there at all...If you need to take Disney transportation it does get a bit more tricky....Then you need to take the bus to DHS and walk over or take the boat over...Even better, get a cab...Cabs are cheap, fast, and easy!

LTT for dinner - we're not big breakfast eaters - prefer our main meal to be either lunch or dinner - and the dinner at LTT is very good, with the turkey, ham, stuffing, mac/cheese - and characters!

REally enjoy LTT for dinner. Have not been to Cape May for anything. LTTs food is good (not great!), all you can eat family style. The salad dressing they use is great (they will hand you preprinted recipe!), meats are good, potatoes are potatoes, macaroni and cheese is Stouffers (says so right on the menu!) and the stuffing tastes like it is Stove Top, Character interaction is wonderful. Restaurant is comfy and warm feeling, convenient, etc. Don't know if that helps or makes it harder for you!

I really liked both. It would depend on if I was paying OOP I would probably choose Cape May. It would also depend on other plans for the day if I was already planning on being in MK then LTT it would be. I hate to travel someplace for a meal and try to plan meal that fit in for other plans for the day. I did have better character interaction at Cape May.

Have done both. I'd go for Cape May for Breakfast. Dinner is OK too, but breakfast is better. It's really great character interaction and I love the themeing. I swear they must spritz something in the air because to me it actually smells like the beach. LTT is OK. I like the colonial theme, but Williamsburg isn't too far from me and it gets a little old and Fredericksburg is historic as well. The food is good, but I can make it at home unless that's what I am looking for. Usually when I am on vacation we go for things that are different (dinner that is). They are both good so it just depends on your tastes.

Loved our Cape May Breakfast. Character interaction was excellent, they spent alot of time and came back a second time. Food selection was good and fresh. Hotel is nice and we enjoyed a walk along lake after we ate.

LTT was not a favorite for me and probably would not go back. It was Thanksgiving dinner, that was just okay. The mac and cheese was not edible, just bad frozen style. The tables were very tight together and we were virtually part of everyone around us conversation. Our table was not large enough to hold all the plates they brought with items. The characters could barely squeeze between the tables and stayed only a moment before moving on. Did not feel it was worth the money.

Agree transportation can be a challenge......I usually plan meals for where I will be close to.

LTT is a "must do" for us. Good food: steak, ham, mac & cheese, etc. LTT is nice because the food is served to you instead of the standard buffet, so you don't have to worry about missing characters. We also like the characters in their colonial garb & have always had good character interaction there.

Cape May for breakfast is also very good. The food was good and there was great character interaction. We had a difficult time getting there from All Star Sports, which was a bit aggravating. I would recommend Cape May, but it is not a "must do" for us & therefore we are trying something different this year.

Cape May for breakfast! This was such a calm, relaxing breakfast, never felt rushed, food was so fresh and delicious, and the character interaction was really fantastic. Minnie, Chip, and Goofy look so cute in beachwear! Our service was also outstanding, even on the dining plan - before tips were excluded! - and we spent a lot of time here, just because it was so calm and friendly. The fresh fruit was outstanding, and all of the breakfast offerings were hot and delicious.

LTT is crowded, busy, loud, and the food is yucky. I can eat Stouffer's mac & cheese at home, KWIM? I think LTT and I think salty frozen food.

HTH! Have a great time! :goodvibes

I've done Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner once which was good and always go to Cape May Cafe for breakfast...unfortunatly I've yet to try it for dinner, but heard very good reviews for dinner also.
Cape May Cafe is an excellent place for breakfast in every aspect...great food, excellent service, great character interaction, pleasant atmosphere, not loud at all consdering it is a character meal. :thumbsup2
As a matter of fact, 5 of us went there for breakfast this past May, 2-3 of which have never been there and they enjoyed it.

We've never eaten at LTT but we LOVE Cape May for breakfast (dinner, too :cutie:). We make sure we do a breakfast there every year :goodvibes. The food is great and the characters are dressed in beach wear (characteras at breakfast only). The atmosphere is nice as well ::yes::.
