I scheduled an ADR at the Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. I have seen mixed reviews on the food. I would like to know if this restaurant is worth the time & $ or should I just go to a quick service instead? Any input/ suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It was better at lunch before they made it an all you can eat turkey feast and shortened the menu. If you are on the ddp, I think the dinner is worth the ts credit but if you are paying oop, I think it's now too expensive for lunch. We went in August for lunch and paid oop and loved it but now with the recent change of menu, we will not dine there again unless we have the ddp.

I will be paying oop. I will have a party of 3 adults & 2 kids. I liked the idea of family style but if it's overpriced forget it. Thanks for your input.

I think it's around $30 at lunch for the bounty platter. The food is good but it's hard to eat that much food at lunchtime IMO. Many people were disappointed when they changed the menu recently.

I like the idea of family style and perhaps filling everyone up until later. However, my 2 boys will prob not eat that much. Hmmm...decisions ...decisions. Thanks though for info.

I love their lunch for two reasons. One I am a huge history buff and the American Revolution is my favorite time period. Two they have the best desert and it's only available at lunch. The ooey gooey toffee cake. It's amazing!!! Go just to try that!

I cannot decide between The Diamond Horseshoe and Liberty Tree Tavern for our last lunch at Magic Kingdom!

Right now I have an ADR for Diamond Horseshoe, but LTT sounds good too!

What is causing me to lean toward the Diamond Horseshoe is that the food is a little different. The food offered at LTT (all you can eat) seems very similar to the food offered at Garden Grill, which we will be eating at on another day.

Any thoughts?

We tried LTT for the first time for lunch in August & we both enjoyed it!
The colony salad was delicious and that ooey gooey toffee dessert, so yummy! We both said we thought it was worth returning.

We used to go every trip, but Nov. was the last time. Didn't like the shortened menu and don't want AYCE there. Doesn't appeal to us.
We cancelled our ADR for this Jan. trip and booked somewhere else

LTT was the one ADR we did not enjoy. My food was flat out gross (corn fritters that I sent back and a very wilty, over dressed salad). DS wouldn't eat his pasta, and DH had a burger that he thought was just okay.

We really like the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, so it's a yes from us. If you aren't on the dining plan, you can choose the less expensive menu options anyway.

LTT is a family favorite of ours. We used to go only for dinner, but since we've been trying to save a little money on meals, we tried lunch this past summer (before they changed the lunch menu). We loved it - my DH could still get his turkey fix, and my DD13 and I could get less filling entrees so we could have dessert. She and I both tried the salads, she had the appetizer salad, and I had the Colony Salad. The appetizer was plenty for her. She loved the salad, and I LOVED the Colony Salad. It was perfect, light and refreshing. For dessert, she and my DH shared the fruit cobbler (which ended up being a mixed berry), and I had to have the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. They both liked the cobbler, but I was disappointed at how small the cake was! Pictures I had seen in the past showed it on a large plate with a huge scoop of ice cream. Mine was served in a tiny dish, with a tiny scoop of ice cream. I don't know if they had ran out of plates or what, but it was disappointing.
With the changes they have made to the lunch menu, we will probably, sadly, not go back for lunch. They no longer offer the salad appetizer or the turkey platter. I don't want to pay the large price for the AYCTE option at lunch time, and that's way too much food for us at lunch. Now I'm sad.
