Liberty Tree Tavern - No More Lunch?

I just got off the phone for making dining reservations for my trip from Oct 2 - Oct 11. I got most everything that I wanted. However, I tried to make a reservation for Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and the CM said that Liberty Tree Tavern will be no longer serving lunch. She said I could only make a dinner reservation there (which I did for another day that I had planned on doing the character dinner there). But is it true that they won't be serving lunch in October? I love their lunch menu which you can't get at dinner. The CM seemed well informed on most everything else.

Wow, I really hope not! LTT lunch is one of our must-do meals! Anyone else heard about this!?

ETA: We have lunch scheduled for our upcoming trip, but that's 2 weeks from now - quite a ways from October.

We have a lunch ADR scheduled for the last week of June. When is the latest anyone here has a lunch ADR scheduled? I have not heard nor read anything about this.

I am really hoping that the CM that I booked all my reservations with was wrong about this one. If others have lunch reservations in October, then I will call back and book my reservation with another CM.

I'll be bummed, too! We ave ADRs for Aug., so I hope we can have that one at least - so we can say good-bye! Yikes!

I have lunch reservations for the end of September (the 24th) :confused3 I would like more info on this as well!

Hopefully that CM is sadly mistaken. It's our favorite lunch spot at MK. It's hard to imagine Disney would eliminate a lunch TS with the popularity of the DDP and the demand for ADRs. :sad2:

I have a lunch reserved there for Sept. 30th... I may have to call back and see if this is indeed true.

That wouldn't make much sense considering how busy it always seems for lunch :confused3 .

I hope this is not true we have reservations for 9/16 thru unlimited dreams TA so I hope this isnt true.

I made an ADR yesterday for lunch on 9/13- how bizarre. I really hope that CM was mistaken.

I have lunch planned there for one day of our trip, Sept. 23. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread to see what the verdict is...maybe there are not going to be open for lunch beginning in October. Hmmmm....hope not for your sake! :)

Well, I'm glad to hear this. Lunch was our worst meal there.:headache:

Dinner is such a different menu and experience.

I bet they'll be changing things around and adding a character family style buffet lunch. The park could use another character meal at lunch time.

That's a shame if that is true. My DH and I ate there for the first time last year in all the times we have been there. We had a terrific lunch...my DH really enjoyed it as did I.

We have a lunch planned here during the 1st week of October. Not sure what day though...my bf made the ADR's. I'm going to have him call and check on this.

I hope this is just another case of a mistaken CM. MK has such few TS places that to loose LTT for lunch would be a shame! We love LTT's lunch and have an ADR for June already booked. I'm going to call tomorrow to make a ADR for our October trip and now I'm really curious to see what the CM I talk with says!

Wow - I'm surprised to hear you had a bad experience at LTT lunch. It is normally fantastic.

And I really hope they DO NOT turn it into yet another character meal. So many of our favorite places (Norway, Tusker House, etc) have been turned into character meals. I know they are fun, but for those of us who would rather have a quiet meal without characters, it's a drag.

That's the first thing that entered my mind too. I'm hard pressed enough to find buffets that aren't character related. Yes, Disney World is for families primarily but why does every new dining experience seem to get turned into a character thing? There are lots of couples out there without kids and want a nice meal inside a park without characters.
