We have never eaten at LTT. I keep looking at the menus and can't decide whether to book lunch or dinner. Any suggestions? :confused3

We enjoy both! We do seem to make dinner ressies more often than lunch.

Our picks at lunch would be the Tavern Fried Cheese and the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger. At dinner the salad is great as are the rolls, mashed potatoes and turkey. My DH really likes the mac & cheese as well!

we prefer the lunch to the dinner since the characters have left. There are many great dishes on the lunch menu.

We prefer lunch just for the cost savings alone. I do now have two "disney adults" that I would find the cost of the all you can eat dinner silly.

DH likes the pot roast, I get the turkey.

It is only DD19 and myself. We quite often share meals at Disney so I was also considering the price factor. I thought perhaps we could share the turkey dinner. Are the portions large enough to share?

I haven't been there for lunch, but dinner was great. The rolls come with honey butter (we scarfed two baskets they were so good) and the salad is really lovely. The family style meal has turkey, pork and beef, all of which were wonderful. The best part was dessert though, the Johnny Appleseed cake with vanilla bean ice cream. Now I want to go back and eat there again.

Are rolls also served with the turkey dinner at lunch?

We used to have dinner there each trip when the characters were there.

However, last year, for the first time, we tried lunch, & it was wonderful!

I had the roast beef sandwich w/ a cup of butternut squash soup. The soup was sooo good! And, for dessert, I had the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, & it was one my favorite desserts of the entire trip!

W/o the characters there for dinner, we definitely prefer lunch now!

We usually get the dinner, they have changed the menu since the last time we went to Disney. I am not sure about the portion sizes. Even if you got the lunch and ordered two of the turkey plates, I think you would be saving money. About $15.00 per Turkey lunch, about $32.00 per person for the dinner. Either way, I love the food there. Really miss the characters though .

We like lunch.
We found the turkey at dinner to be dry sometimes and no more characters:sad1:
Plus we are 4 adults - since our DS & DD are over the age of 10 - our cost would be $142 :scared1:

:woohoo:At lunch - during our summer visit - it is great to be out of the heat and relax.:woohoo:

What we like:
DH... Tri-Corner Sandwich - roast beef and swiss cheese with Liberty Tree Slaw, horseradish cream sauce and arugula served on herbed focaccia with your choice of soup or fresh tossed salad $12.99

DW & DS ... Angus Chuck Cheeseburger - topped with bacon and cheddar or mushrooms and provolone served with fresh fruit or tavern fries $12.99

DD... from the adult menu... New England Clam Chowder $6.99
and from the kids menu the mac& cheese $ 8.99

Drinks about $3 each.

Our lunch total about $70 :thumbsup2

:goodvibesSo, lunch is 1/2 the price of dinner for us :goodvibes

Lunch. I don't like their dinner offerings. Their turkey is dry unless it has gravy on it (which I don't eat), their stuffing is bland and fake, and I don't eat green bean casserole. Of course, that's just my opinion since everyone has their own tastes in food.

the dinner used to be worth it because of the really cool colonial character getups (chip and dale with the powder whigs and spectacle and betsy ross minnie mouse are still two of my favorites ever) and the food was pretty decent.

the food now is worse and they elimination of characters (which i still can't understand...because they can charge more for it and get more of a crowd and it only costs a few minimum wage employees) makes it not worth it.

Lunch has always had a good a la carte menu.

In regard to your price comment here - dinner is served family style, all you can eat - so I am pretty sure they would not allow you to share here, you'd both have to pay for dinner.

However, in regards to the food quality - I have not eaten there for lunch, but our family ate there for dinner, and it was one of the favorites of our trip. It's "real" food (by that I just mean it's not all fried), and personally we thought it was all quite delicious. I'd highly recommend it.

we loved it there on our last trip! we had the dinner and when we saw the server bringing out a huge basket of rolls we thought there is only 3 of us , why are they bringing so many rolls to our table? lol we ended up asking for another basket of them ! they were soooo good! the whole meal was awesome! have reservations for dinner again on our trip in August!:thumbsup2

We've been to dinner at LTT (with and without characters) and lunch at LTT multiple times each, and I agree with Denise. We have a 5-year-old and two pre-teen "Disney adults" so the cost of dinner is no longer a good value for us.

If I were just paying for two people instead of five, I might feel differently. I really do prefer the atmosphere and the food at dinner. It used to be one of our family's favorite non-signature dinners at WDW. It's basic food, but good and in a good location for the end of an MK day.

Good luck with your decision!

I was under the impression donnajz was asking about splitting the turkey "dinner" entree that is available at lunch, considering that she later asked if the rolls from dinner were available with that lunch choice.

I have eaten at Liberty Tree Taverns for both lunch and dinner; they both are delightful. I would go for lunch, this way you can pick your dessert.

Happy Eating!!
