Hello,

We are heading to the world in March and I can't stop planning, even though all ADRs are set and there is nothing left to plan. So, tonight something just occured to me.

On our first day our plane lands at 1:00pm, so we thought our first ADR should be a late lunch since we will be excited to get to the Magic Kingdom, somewhat hungry, but we don't want to be in a rush. We decided to go for a 4:00pm reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern. It has just occured to me that this will likely be when they start serving dinner.

How do the lunch and dinner experiences/menus differ? We really aren't that fussy, but if I hear about something that makes lunch more appealing, I may get the ADR moved up to 3:30pm.

Thanks for your thoughts.

The dinner menu is a "set price" and is basically family style with turkey, beef, pork, mashed potatos, dressing -- ala Thanksgiving dinner. Lunch has a menu where everyone can order something else. We've never done dinner -- but I'm not a big fan of Thanksgiving dinne food; we enjoyed lunch a great deal when we ordered off the menu.

We LOVE the dinner at LTT. It's really good, but I know others are not thrilled with the family style or that it is like Thanksgiving dinner. It's a must for us, BUT we've never had lunch there. Too bad that when we're there in Feb. it is a character dinner. We always enjoyed it more when it was calm and we felt like we were really eating in a tavern back in Rev. war times ;-)

some people think LTT is bland but we quite like it. We have eaten dinner there two or three times. We would recommend it.

Having eaten both lunch and dinner at LTT, I much prefer lunch. Dinner was good...turkey, stuffing and such but lunch tasted better in my opinion. I had the tavern fried cheese appetizer, tri-corner roast beef with horseradish on multigrain bread and toffee cake for dessert. It was all delish! Plus the amotsphere makes me feel like I'm in Colonial Williamsburg. :thumbsup2

We are not fans of the dinner and no longer eat there since the characters left, but love the lunch menu.

We've never eaten dinner at LTT, but we ate lunch there at the beginning of October, and it was wonderful! My DH got the turkey and dressing. Normally, I don't like all the Thanksgiving Day fare, but his turkey and dressing were amazingly good! I'm still craving that dressing!

I had the roast beef sandwich, and it was really good, too. I was only able to eat half of it, because it was so big. We both ordered the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert, and it was heavenly!

We'll definitely be eating there again!

I am a very picky eater and I love the supper at LTT. The family style meal comes just the way I like it. Lots of meat and potatoes.
I have never had lunch but I sure it is just as good.
I will miss the characters though. The trip this November will be the first one without character dining at LTT. Hope it is just as good.

My wife and I just dined here for lunch on Wednesday 11/4. It was a pleasant suprise that we didn't necessarily put atop the list of our ADR's. Liberty Tree Tavern was definitely a comfort food mecca, but it was nice to be able to sit down during lunch and feel as if you avoided the hustle and bustle of your typical counter service experience. I enjoyed the Tri-Corner Sandwich and my wife had the Colony Salad.

Thanks everyone, for your input.

We've decided to stick with our dinner reservation. It may be more money than we need to spend on this meal, but I'm thinking we may be very hungry after a day of travelling, so the family style help ourselves will be good. It will also be a good for my picky son to have a nice first meal where he gets to pick and choose what he wants.

Can someone find a way to fast forward time by four months?
