We had the best character interaction anywhere at LTT for dinner, plus the food is pretty good, too... think "thanksgiving dinner." We had a ton of fun there despite not having any kids, and the characters spent a lot of time with us, especially Chip and Dale. There was a running gag where Dale kept "resting" by leaning against me over and over. Our table was in the middle of the floor, with 4-5 tables against the wall near us, and every time Dale signed an autograph, he used me as a leaning post. Our server was great, too... he came by when Dale was at our table, and told him if he didn't stop misbehaving he'd tell us about Dale's girlfriend. Dale got upset about this. We told him to leave Dale alone because it was his restaurant and he was in charge, and Dale started shaking his hand in the face of our server., as if to show him who's boss. Then when the server left, he covered his nose, indicating that our server stunk.

Yay!! I'm so glad that it is such a great experience. I've never done a character dinner before and this sounds like it'll be a great first one. We'll be there in December, so does that mean they will do a Christmas dinner kind of thing or their regualar menu? (Just curious, the regular menu looks great)

We were there on 12/22 and they served the regular menu that is on Allears. I don't know that they do anything different on Christmas day. We enjoyed the meal and the characters. We saw Pluto, Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale.

Hubby and I had a great experience at LTT. We were on our anniversary trip last fall and since we noted that on our ADR, when we were taken to our table they had a heart on it made from Mickey confeitti . It was really neat and then the announcer with the bell, walked in ringing the bell and announced to the room that we were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. It was a neat experience. The character interaction is great, the food is wonderful (really like the rolls) so I would definately recommend it

LTT Info and Menus

The dinner menu at LTT isn't a buffet-- it's served family-style. The server brings the plates of food to you, and you can get refills of anything you want. Usually, they bring you a salad first, then plates of turkey, pork, and beef, with mashed potatoes, green beans, and macaroni and cheese. Everyone gets the same food.

The lunch at LTT does not have characters and has a regular menu.

We make it our first dinner on day of arrival. It has become a tradition. The food is delicious, wait staff efficient, and characters are awesome. I am one of those "big kids" that talks to the characters (which completely makes my 9-year old turn red). The characters always play along. Chip and Dale are the best at playing along. Definitely go there.

I went a few years ago... 2002 I think and the character interaction was really good... there were loads of them and we had plenty of time to have fun with them and get our pictures taken with all of them. I wasn't so keen on the food.. I thought it was dull but it wasn't bad for what it was.

We eat here almost every visit. We love it. Our DD is very pickey and she is VERY happy here. It is very 'homey' feeling. Have Fun

Liberty Tree Tavern has become my family's absolute favorite Character Dining Experience, I do believe we will make it a point to go to this every trip from now on.

There was a time when LTT would get a lot of negative reviews. In fact, it kept us from trying it back in the late nineties.

We tried it first three trips ago and loved it so much that we try to hit it twice each trip - once for dinner and once for lunch. The lunch menu is very good.

Dinner is great. First, it's a very cool setting in our favorite part of the park. Second, it is a relaxing a character dinner as you could hope for. Not too loud and the character do a good job getting around. Third, the food is very good. It's not gourmet, but it is a tasty, hearty meal.

We have an ADR for LTT this coming May and we are excited! We have been meaning to try LTT for years but we just never seem to make it there but I am determined to this year!!!!!! Glad to see all the great reviews!

When you call the dress colonial do you mean patriotic (red white blue stripes and stars) or do you mean pilgrims like?

Its a little of both but leans more toward colonial/pilgrim. Its not flashy like 4th of July. We also love LTT and I'm still thinking of working it into our meals in a few weeks.

Quick question- by "family style" do you mean that they bring out a platter of whatever and everyone at the table helps his/herself? If so, are you only sitting with your party or do you sit with however many people it takes to fill up the table like at Biergarten?

Its served family style. You are seated at your own table and they bring a meat platter and bowls of mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese as well as a salad. It is only served to your dining party.

We just ate there tonight. I thought the food was fantastic. It was hard to concentrate fully on eating it though as the characters really made their rounds so it would seem like I would take a couple of bites and then get ready to grab my camera again.
