Hi - we have reservations at Diamond Horseshoe for dinner later this month and it's one of the only restaurants in MK that we've never been to! Primarily because my youngest daughter (now 10) is VERY picky and would not eat anything on the regular menu. Any chance we can politely ask to get her nuggets, hot dog, burger or grilled cheese? I've read that guests have in the past received a burger or nuggets - has anyone done this lately? Thanks so much!

Isn't it an all you care to eat one price restaurant? If so, and it's not anywhere on the menu, good chance you aren't going to get it. Now, if they share the kitchen with another restaurant, sometimes it possible but I think with the one price AYCTE places, if it ain't on the menu, you can't get it. You might be able to pick her some up somewhere else and bring it in, not sure if that works on AYCTE since they would have no proof she isn't going to eat off your plates.

Before the pandemic shutdown, LLT diners could sometimes order off-menu from the Diamond Horseshoe's a la carte menu (both restaurants shared the same kitchen). But, when Diamond Horseshoe reopen in 2021, they changed to the same all-you-care-to-eat menu as LLT, it is the exact same food with slightly different names. The kitchen just makes the one meal for both restaurants, there is no longer an a la carte menu to order from.

Some AYCTE restaurants will do this (I know Ohana is one for example), but they have to share a kitchen with another restaurant or have one close enough by that they can easily grab it. I don't know about LTT or Diamond Horseshoe.

Will she eat macaroni and cheese? That's what my picky daughter ate. It was some expensive mac and cheese, but she was happy.

one thing to remember is even if they bring an off menu item you are going to pay the all you care to eat price not the price of item brought in. it is going to depend if the kitchen has what you are asking for.

What seems like ages ago they used to have a regular menu at lunch with cheeseburgers, french fries, salad, pasta, mac & cheese etc. I think most the stories of Disney adults being able to order other items was when there was a full menu because there were those items already in the kitchen from lunch.

Lunch is now the same as dinner. Now they might still have back door access to Jungle Navigation Skipper Canteen but their menu isn't exactly bland kid food either. Probably less ideal than LTT. Who knows perhaps they keep some nuggets in the kitchen but you need to be fully prepared for no other options than that menu. Perhaps you need to bring a basket of nuggets in with you, but you also risk paying adult price for her to eat nothing.
