We were originally planning on taking a transport chair for my daughter ( 9 years old, Ehlers Danlos, POTS, Chiari) to use as needed in the parks. We tried to use nothing last year and after the first day, we had to rent a stroller from the parks as her leg pain was too much. She is 4 Foot 9 and 83 pounds so too heavy for any Baby Jogger stroller that the rental companies offer.

We tried her out in a transport chair this past week at the beach, after about an hour she is too uncomfortable in a transport chair, due to her low core muscles it is too much work for herself to stay upright on top of all her other medical issues.

So now I am looking at the Liberty Special Needs Stroller duet to its high weight limit and recline seat. She would not be in it all day long as we encourage her to walk as much as possible because it is helpful for her POTS symptoms as well as building stamina.

A few questions I have
We are staying on site, will this fold up okay to get on and off the bus?
Is there any other option out there for us? We would rather rent from a rental company as they are $$$ and we don't use anything at home (mainly because she rarely leaves the house).

Orlando Medical Rentals offers several different models of special needs strollers. You could look at some options there. Just my opinion, but we looked into the Liberty and it seems large and heavy; I was afraid it would be rather unwieldy for the buses. But that said, others have reported using it no problem.

Enjoy your vacation!
