Has anyone ever rented the Liberty Special Needs stroller from Orlando Stroller Rentals? Did your dc find it comfortable? Was it easy to handle --esp w/ folding for the buses?

Our little one is 6 ---but is 4'2 and 80lbs. I have a McClaren stroller that he uses if I take him to the mall ---but he's really too big for it and it's not comfortable. W/ his asthma, low immune system, muscle cramps from steroids, etc. He fatigues easily - esp when on meds which he will be when we go. I don't think he can last at WDW for 8 days without a stroller. I was going to go try to find one to buy ---but dh thinks little one is too old/big to use a stroller and he just needs to learn to "tough it" out more. UGH! That worked for the others --but this one w/ the medical problems plus Sensory Processing Disorder I don't see it happening.

I have not rented from them, but FYI many special needs stroller are being made to be transport ready meaning that they are safe for use on the busses so that you would not have to worry about getting him out of it and folding it for the ride unless you wanted to. If the one you get is not safe for busses you can tell the driver that you have a special needs stroller and need the ramp and they will lower the ramp and help you board and then you can fold the stroller and transfer to a seat once you are inside. I have seen many people do this with heaver children and it seems to save their backs from trying to carry a child or stroller up the steps of the bus. I hope that this helps you some even though it's not what you asked exactly. I hope that you have a great trip.
