Libby Lu, did you like it?

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only parent that doesn't allow Bratz dolls!! We plan on princess styles only as well...of course that is pretty much all my 5 year old is interested in!

I've never tried it. My girls are just not into girly stuff like that. I WISH they were. I'd love to take them there. But I know if I did, it would all be washed off and undone in no time.

As for Bratz dolls, I guess I'm a bad mommy...... We love Barbies, Princess dolls and Bratz! :rolleyes1 My girls have played with them for years now.

Do you need a reservation?

Reservations are always a good idea esp. on the weekends when they can get crazy busy. Yes, it is loud and chaotic, but my oh-so-cool 13 year old DGD loves the place even though she's tehnically outgrown it. It's one of "must dos" when we're in DTD. princess:

Not a bad mommy...just different from me. I have friends who's kids have Bratz and my daughter has played with them at their homes...I just don't want them in my home.

I sure did, hadn't noticed, because, I didn't think I could top "CHIPMUNK BUTT".

I am just thankful my tag doesn't mention back fat!!!! Ewwwwwwww!!!

Amy
Well, what I want to know is how you plan to top the martini glass t-shirt? :3dglasses

It is just a matter of time my dear!!!

(do you hear evil theme music building to a crescendo while I cackle ever so wickedly while rubbing my hands together, a bit remeniscent of "I'll get you my pretty?")

Ahhh, Alderwood Mall, in Lynnwood, the Big Hair capital of WA! I grew up a mile from that mall, worked there as a teenager, and now I teach nearby.

My 3 girls were never interested in Libby Lu, and I was kind of glad, because some of the stuff is a little too... how shall I put it... glittery? trampy? for my tastes... I didn't really want my little girls dressed up like Britney, yanno? Princesses, ok, but leopard prints and high heels, no. But then, I'm so boring and stuffy I don't allow them to own Bratz dolls. I'm such a geek! And I'm raising little geeklets!:rotfl2:

You are not a geek! I don't allow my dd to have Bratz dolls, either. Who wants their dd to look up to hoochie-mama role models? I like Hannah Montana, because she doesn't wear trampy clothes. I've seen Hannah Montana clothes in there that I would let my dd wear, if she wanted.

I was at DTD today and stopped into Libby Lu. The noise level was about 50% decreased over my last visit.

I scheduled my daughter and her friend for next Sunday. The schedule was already super full, so if you know your schedule, make a rexervation!!!

I also looked at the Hair opportunity by the Princess Fantasy Fair and spoke briefly with a CM there. (truly the first rude CM I have run into at DL , and she was only mildly rude--jsut not wanting to fill me in on what the various packages entailed if I didn't want to do it today. Hello--raining!!).

Anyway, I digress. The cost of Libby Lu is about half that of the PFF, probably even a tinch less than that, so LL wins!!! Hurrah!!

My DD is very excited, hope her friend is as into it!!!

Oh, and MAJOR thanks for all who posted!!! I love asking a question and getting such an overwhelming response!!! And pardon our silliness, the women from the DIsGirls trip tend to go into personal jokes and the like, but always feel free to JUMP on in!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm with you. I have a boy myself but I cannot bring myself to take my darling neice into LL when we do Girl Day. There's too much sexualization of little girls these days and it really bugs me.

I'm with the two of you! Places like that make me cringe, and happy that I have a boy! LOL

I'm totally fine with all the Princess stuff though, that stuff is cute, and I would have LOVED it all as a kid.

I am 100% in agreement with the whole over the top dress your kids up like Hoochie Mamma theme of Libby Lu. But, my DD did the Bibbitty Bobbitty Boutique at MK last year and has wanted to do it at DL. While BBB was expensive, I was in major vacation mode. (Spending money right and left!!!) DL is even more!!!!

I am going to police the girls at Libby Lu. There is no choice but the Princess updo with tiara and there will be no selecting glittery makeup for home use.

My DD is on the childish more innocent spectrum of children and is really rather horrified by her classmates who are "trying to be teenagers!!!".

So hopefuly I can make Libby Lu as innocent of an experience as is possible. I will cross my fingers!!!
