I made the cutest LGMH keychain using shrinky dinks. I love how it came out.

What a great idea! Thanks for sharing. I'm very impressed by the creativity I'm finding on this board!

How Did You Make The Shrinky Dink Mickey's. I Have The Sd Plastic But Not Sure How To Use It. Could You Please Help!!! To Red1de1 I Am Also From Philly, Mayfair Area Maybe A Diser Is Not To Far Away.

I would love to know how you made these too. I have the materials but haven't made anything with it yet!

I'm going to try this on Saturday. I have the shrink material, a Mickey head giant punch, a larger Mickey head template and the assorted pens and pencils to try. We used to use the toaster oven to do this when I was a kid, but I'm going to try my embossing heat gun. I'll let you know how it turns out. I'll post pics if my post count is high enough!

That is so totally awesome! :thumbsup2

I used to do a lot with Shrinky Dinks about 35 yrs ago. I used to trace some of my favorite scenes from Christmas cards, color them with Sharpies, punch a hole in them & shrink them for ornaments. I just put them in the regular oven on a cookie sheet lined with foil. (Didn't have non-stick at the time.)

I'd love to know if it works with the embossing gun! That would be so much easier for me since the oven here doesn't have a window on it. :( I really miss that!

Sorry for the delay in posting the results of my LGMH Shrinky Dink project - the 'flu stopped by our castle last week. We're recovering.

My cell phone proudly sports a MH (mickey head) Shrinky Dink "dangle" in addition to it's usual pink ribbon! :thumbsup2 My MH dangle is in shades of green and blue 'cause I wanted to test various pens and pencils. :rolleyes1

I colored squares on the SD (shrinky dink) material, just large enough to accomodate the punch, punched the head shape, and then punched a round hole in the top of the head for the jump ring so I could make the dangle.

I tried to use my embossing gun, but the fan on the gun was too high, and the SD piece just jumped around. Time to turn on the oven! I followed the directions and voila! :dance3: :cool1:

My post count is still too low to post a picture. Once it's up there, I'll post my pic.
