Letters from Characters?

Does Disney still do the thing where you can have a Disney character send a postcard to someone for their upcoming trip? I've seen a lot of conflicting information about this online. Or has this been replaced by the Fairy Godmailers?

Letters have been replaced by Fairy Godmailers however you can send a letter to the Disney character and you will receive a generic signed post card back but nothing else will be written on it.
