Each year I send all the kids I know (friends of kids/kids in the family) these "letters" from 'Santa' at the beginning of December.
First off - the kids LOVE them and the parents think it's the cutest thing ever. There is no objection to me sending these cards.
So - I usually write...
Dear XYX,
My Elves tell me you have been a very good boy (/girl) this year. I'm very happy to hear this. Keep up the good work and I'll stop by your house on Christmas Eve.
Santa
Anyone else, more creative then me, have any "wording" ideas for this?
Thanks!
ps - can I tell you? My DH's cousin uses this card to keep her boy in line during the weeks before christmas. If he started to act up, she'd point to the card and say "remember - he sees everything" and he'd shape up right away. heheheh

but we always have a great time with the kids when they are younger. My fil comes down at a pre-specified time on certain nights and we go downstairs and put the kids to bed and he shines a flashlight through their windows while we are with them and we tell them that the elves are checking on them. Sadly my 2 older kids this won't work with anymore but I threatened them if they ruined it for my 6 yr old they wouldn't get anything this year.
