I have noticed that hotel prices have increased in the past year.:confused3 If you find a great rate please post the hotel and rate and where you found it. Let's help share the magic.pixiedust:

We are staying at the Marriott Residence Inn on Harbor Blvd. for Free! We have a Marriott Rewards card and we travel a lot for business and are using some of our points for a free 3 night stay the week after Thanksgiving. Woo-hoo....I love free!

Other than that, if I am not using points, I usually go with the name your own price option via Priceline, and I select the 4 star option, or at the very minimum, the 3 star option. I have snagged great places, like the Grand Hyatt for $55 a night, and Hotel Menage for $55 a night.

When you name your own price I have heard that you are often charged fees at the hotel for parking and "Resort fees". Do you find that to be true?

The Best Western Park Place Inn has a "no car" rate that is approx $89 per night for 2 Queens and $104 for their mini suite.

I have been charged "Resort Fees" and Parking fees whether I book through Priceline or through a traditional booking site like Expedia, or even the company's website. Generally, either way, because its in a "resort area" you are charged extra fees.

I reserved a room at BWPPI during the end of February for a no-vehicle rate of $74/night.

I just heard about a $89.00 a night rate @ the Red Lion. Includes full breakfast and parking. BUT it isn't available for my dates. :(

we booked the motel 6 Anaheim maingate for 59.99 a night weekdays and 65.99 weeknights for Jan 1-6. it's 311 before taxes so about 365 for 5 nights.

It's a bit of a walk but they do have a shuttle that I believe was free ( we never used it when we stayed there in 2011. The walk is just under a mile to the park gates.

We are staying at the Marriott Family Suites/ Garden Grove (across the street from Target , on Harbor) ...dates og Nov 21-25th, total $365 ($91.25 included tax/ parking per night) through Last Minute Travel.

Room is 2 Queens / 1 Sofa /2 tvs/1 Bath....LOVE the rate! We have stayed here in the past and they have been wonderful~ I hope they have their Christmas tree up in the lobby...it was huge and had a train goinf around it that the kids love!

I have also gotten the Doubletree at Orange, The Hyatt and The Marriott on Priceline for $59/night.
