This October my wife and I will be attending our first Party for the Senses.
I understand it's a bunch of samplings, which sounds very good.
My question is, do people do this in place of dinner? I mean, it's during the entire dinner hours so I would assume the answer is yes.
Does anyone feel the need to eat dinner or something light in addition to PFTS?
Also, are there beer samplings in addition to the wine?

Any and all comments on PFTS are appreciated!

Thanx... :smokin:

From reading the reviews on allears, it seems there is tons of food and beer and wine. I'm hoping to go next year and I was thinking one should even skip lunch that day! :rotfl: I hope you enjoy if you go. I, personally, can't wait until next year.

We're doing our first PftS. Here's my take after several other trips for F&WF:

We do the WS tastings for at least one meal a day during the Festival. We average about 6 items, split between the 2 of us per "meal". At the PftS, there are more than 25 tastings to choose from. I will be lucky to have room to sample even half of them. So, we will not be eating anything besides breakfast that morning, a small snack with coffee in the afternoon before the Party.

Here's what the Disney site has to say:
Feast on this tribute to the sensory arts! Begin your evening with a reserved seat at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series at the America Gardens Theatre. Following the show, World ShowPlace becomes the setting for a sensational evening showcasing the talents of more than 25 eminent chefs and the diversity of over 70 wines and beers. Wander among tempting tasting stations in the midst of imaginative décor and awe-inspiring acts from Cirque du Soleil® La Nouba™.

Believe me, MG, you won't feel the need for more food. You can go back multiple times to the booths you like (and believe me we do). In fact we usually have a bigger breakfast on the day of PFTS so that we won't feel the need to have lunch. It always amazes me how much food a person can wolf down in a couple of hours.

We usually skip the concert and arrive at Millennium Village around 6:00pm to get our plate and wine glass and the "catalog" describing the different booths. This way we can plan our attack.

Sam Adams has been there in the past. Usually with two or three different beers. There is a lot of wine - not so much beer.

It truly is an experience (not to be missed)!

I hate bringing up ancient threads, but I've been away for work and wanted to thank all who responded. :)

It's looks as though no "dinner" will be needed!

Cyn, I hope Sam Adams is there. It's really the only beer I drink these days. It's just the best! :drinking1
