Lets talk leaves

I went outside tonight and picked up a bunch of very colorful leaves. Unfortunately the bugs had been eating at them, so there are a few holes. The colors are so nice though, reds, golds, yellows, oranges and an occasional green one with a hint of color on it.
Autumn is my favorite time of the year and it looks like it might be starting a little early.

I'm waiting for ours to change any day now - it's seemed like fall all summer around here.

BTW, at first I chuckled at your post title. We have a bookstore in Buffalo called "Talking Leaves". It reminded me of it right away.

That is just amazing to me!
Our leaves are falling off around here, but it is only b/c it is so hot and we just can NOT water them enough!!

They actually started changing last month, maybe it is because of all the rain that we have had. Don't really know, but I think I'll start getting ready for an early winter.

The only leaves falling off around here are the ones the cicadas killed. I'm looking forward to fall, my favorite season too, but not for another month yet.

Sorry I'm not kidding, the leaves are already falling and my hubby asked why I was gathering some. I told him because they are such nice colors
Ya better start getting ready for winter.

edited to add: I am near the Pocono Raceway(read: as in close enough to hear the cars going around the track ) What part of PA. are you from?

Hey, in a few weeks, just come on over and you can have as many bags of leaves that you want... big black trash bags full! We have 9 trees in our backyard/frontyard, so when they start falling, we have lots of raking to do. Hate that part, but I love Fall!
