I'm feeling a little bummed today so let's talk about the things we love about DVC and WDW and cheer me up!! :wizard:

I love having a jacuzzi tub!!!

I love all the space, the fact that each resort is a vacation all by itself and I love that I can come home with clean clothes!:goodvibes

Savannah View at AKV
Sounds of the BW at night:cloud9:
Waking up on the second day there and knowing I just started my vacation :):woohoo:
Not having to hurry to see everything in every park in a week:cool1:
Bringing friends and family:grouphug:
Planning the next trip (again, and again and again):surfweb:
Rose & Crown reservations around Illuminations time.

Walking to and from Epcot from the BWV;)

The fact that with every trip (25 and counting) we get to do something we've never done before :goodvibes

Knowing my now adult children have the option to use our points for themselves, and watching them do so:wizard:

Watching the little children's faces in the parks and seeing their wonder and excitment:wizard:

Being able to walk around in a pirate hat and NOT get strange looks ;)

But mostly, knowing I've got many years (God willing) ahead to travel with my DH and children, and hopefully one day, grandchildren, to our favorite place on earth :)

being able to sit on the balcony of ANY of the resorts with a glass of wine is wonderful to me. OR my morning coffee.....even better.

being able to lay out by the pool and have a pool day to relax and enjoy the resort.

Having enough space for DH and I to relax in the king bed with the boys in the other room.

walking around the resort looking at all of the beautiful plants and landscaping.

I Love the planning. I Love split stays. To me it feels like 2 mini Vacations. I Love going to the different Resorts even though BCV has my heart it is fun to split my Vacation and stay 3 or 4 days at one of the other resorts. Than if I can fit in a 4 or 5 day Cruise on DCL thats the cherry on the top :lovestruc

Since it was 44 degrees and freezing in NJ this morning when I woke up, and I HATE THE COLD, I would have to say the warmth of WDW, both literally and figuratively, really cheer me up.

Am I the only one who watches TV there? I love that I can watch the WDW info channel all the time (I think it's channel 19) without DH complaining, because he can watch his sports on the other TV.

So many good ones here - I agree with everything :goodvibes

I'm a night owl and love that in Disney I can get up and look out my balcony and see someone going about their job, or a giraffe trying to rest it's head in a tree while another rests against it's neck. I love the fountains, the sound of the boat horns, the smell of the pools, the sound of children excitedly running off to the MK with their parents. I am mesmerized in bliss by the laughs of adults who had completely forgotten they have an inner child still.

I love that having DVC means I have a place to call my own in such a fantastic place until I'm VERY old.

Sitting on AKV balcony, drinking wine at night, watching the zebras chase the giraffes. :lovestruc

Sitting at the firepit with a margarita in hand, rocking in the rocking chair.

(seeing a pattern?)

Going to Epcot getting a slushie from France.

(ok not all drink related..:rotfl2:)

Sitting in the pool at night (AKV) watching a movie. Last one was Sleeping Beauty.

Watching Water Parade off BLT Balcony:cloud9:--That was a first for us in March.

Going to TOTWL and watching wishes while having a Martini. (ok we are back to drinks):lmao:

My son & I having enough room to have a pillow fight without knocking stuff over :goodvibes

Looking out the window at Animal Kingdom and giving all the animals names...

THE MEMORIES!!!!

When you first step into your room and know you are just starting your vaca...

The smell on Main street....don't know what it is Its just Disney.

- the way my heart clutches, and eyes well up as the DME bus approached the B O A R D W A L K arch
- the ability to sponaneously walk over to EPCOT just for a grey goose slushie or a box of twinnings earll grey, or to DHS for a TSM fastpass to use later (if we actually get to use it - sometimes we just give them away)
- the quiet strolls to EPCOT and DHS, where DD or DH and i stop to talk to the birds, squirrels, and rabbits...having heart to hearts in hushed voices
- spontaneous conversations with total strangers, who become your friends by trip end
- early mornings on our BWV balcony, sipping coffee as the sun slowly rises. watching the joggers as they thump their way around the BW, the incredibly excited voices of laughing children as they run then suddenly stop and wait for their parent on their way to the bakery (normally just dad, i guess mom gets to sleep in on vaca:confused3), the sweet aroma of baked goodies, the horn of a friendship announcing another wonderful day.
- watching illuminations from our BWV balcony, a glass of wine in hand, as i stare wide-eyed, quietly singing along (a bit embarrassing to admit - yes, i do know all the words:blush:)
- our nighttime ritual of having ice cream while watching the street performers, the laughter and pure joy on so many faces in the audience
- finding the one staircase near our room, the one that use for our own private entrance/exit to the resort (i don't know why that makes me happy, but it does:rolleyes1)
that feeling of total contentment and peace that just washes over you at unexpected times, making one smile gently and a little lightheaded - that feeling that everything is good in the world :cloud9:

and importantly, knowing that despite financial setbacks, we will probably always be able to go back again because of DVC (we've been through 3 job losses, etc.....the AP discount has helped tremendously)

life is good - and DVC is one of the reasons :)

Seeing DME Cast members waving with Mickey hands.
Getting the first "Welcome Home".
Stepping out on a DVC balcony and enjoying the view, no matter which resort.

The best...stepping out on a SSR balcony facing DTD and hearing the boat horns OR stepping out on a VGC balcony facing the Mickey Wheel of Death and hearing the music.

First is going through the WALT DISNEY WORLD sign! LOVE That spot!

When we stay at OKW, I love how attentive the guards are at saying "Welcome Home", and I enjoy checking the cart out front with the purple lockers to locate ours!:thumbsup2 That isn't quite the same at AKV, because there they keep them back in bell services where you can't see them.

Checking in and getting our Welcome packet and finding out where we are living for the week (if the room is ready, that is).

Heading out to Epcot while we wait for our room if we are OKW, or just exploring the resort if we are at AKV. We explore every DVC resort even though we have been there many times.

Favorite places at each DVC resort:
OKW: The view over the canal of the arched bridge, light house, and HH.
AKV Jambo; The lobby and the view back toward the lobby from the fire pit
AKV Kidani: The fire pit/savanna area and library balcony
VWL: The lobbies of both the villas and the lodge as well as the geiser.
BCV: The beach and Beaches and Creams
BWV: The Boardwalk.
BLT: Ummm Can't think of anything.
SSR: The view of DTD and visiting the horse statue.

OKW - can not beat the size of the rooms.
DCL - Taken six on points and planning to do more.
Familly - Taken and given multiple trips and planning on doing more.
DW - Love that she cries at the end of every DVC home trip.

BLT -- I love being in the Grand Canyon Concourse when a monorail comes through! (Alright... so it's really CR and not BLT, but it's close enough for me :yay:)

I LOVE having a bed with my DH, not in the same room with my kiddo.

I LOVE THE BIG bath TUB

I LOVE having clean laundry without leaving the room.
