lets talk about room noise

I've stayed at all of them except the new Poly and had some very quiet stays and non quiet stays. I think they are built the same, noise level comes down to the people traveling at the time you are, and that can't be controlled or planned. We were on the 2nd floor of an OKW villa and the people on the 3rd floor, packed their bags, moved furniture and all but river danced on the floor above around 4am. Some people think they are alone in the world and never consider others!

I heard BLT can be noisy as well even thought it's "new". Any thoughts?

I have found it to be so quiet in a 1 br villa. Until we go on the balcony or head to the elevator it seemed almost empty.... In the summer!!!

Spent 9 nights in a VGF Lake View 2-bedroom in May and we heard little noise from the room above and none from the rooms on either side, but we did hear the ferry blowing it's horn (especially on the night that the MK was open for 24 hours) and we would also hear the MK train whistle early each morning.

Quietest stays we've had have been at SSR. Tied for 2nd are GFV and Kidani (with the exception of kids screaming off the balcony at the animals; and some guy singing "The Circle of Life"). Worst noise was OKW and BCV for pool and jacuzzi noise

How does gfv stack up?

We just stayed at VGF a couple of months ago and it was very peaceful. However, we did have some experience with noises from the room above as they have the "wood" floors which are much noisier than the carpets. As they go through refurbs, they seem to be replacing carpet with hard floors that are easier to maintain but definitely noisier for neighbors below.

I agree with those who said that every resort has quiet and noisier villas. If that is the most important thing to you for a villa, then I'd always choose top floor away from elevators and hope for quiet neighbors.

eeek - we are think of BWV studio next time we go
I hope it is a quiet room (studio)

Our second choice - if we can afford to rent it is the Poly Villa studio - more space for our family.
