We have an opportunity to go to Disneyland with some good friends at some point surrounding Memorial Day. I was trying to talk them into the week before, thinking that would be less crowded than the week after, but it looks like they will want to do the week following memorial day. So we're looking at maybe Wednesday - Friday?

What will the crowds be like then? We typically visit 2x a year in early March and early September, so we always miss the crowds. Will it frustrate me to be there at this time when it's busier?

The last two years we've started a trip on the holiday Monday. And the last two years, Monday seems to be the day that the crowds start to disperse; from reports on the boards, it seems the crowds start peaking as the week before the holiday goes on...then Monday people start to leave, and the week after the holiday is fairly nice.

However, the last two years have seen the holiday weekend a week before this year's holiday. That means that more schools nationwide will have already let out for summer, so crowds might be higher after the holiday, since it will be June, than the last two years.

Oh crap, I was thinking Memorial day was the 24th, but it's the 31st!

Is it still worth it to go when it's busy like that? We're veterans so we know the park well and know how to work things, but I hate competing with big crowds just to walk down main street.

Of course it is.;)
Just utilize FP, get in the park as soon as it opens and be prepared for crowds. As long as you know what to expect, it will be fine. Have a great time.
