Hi all,

I'm aware of the all the transportation options (vehicle wise) Disney offers, but what about for guests who are going to have trouble getting from the Boardwalk parking lot to Sea Breeze Point? Or something like this where it's a long distance but cars aren't allowed to drive from point A to point B. Do the hotels offer wheelchairs or electric scooters?

None of the people with mobility problems are staying on property.

Thanks!

If they have mobility options will they not have their own wheelchair or scooter? The hotel won't provide these. They might be able to provide a golf buggy type vehicle but i'm not sure you'd be able to guarantee they'd be available.

The resorts may have a wheelchair but they are few and not always in good shape. The resorts do not have ECVs to loan to guests. Your guests who may need help from the parking lot to SBP may need to look into one of the vendors in the area - you can find recommendations on the disabilities forum.

My grandmother rented a wheelchair from walker mobility for our wedding and they delivered it to the house she stayed at while she was in FL.

I know one of the scooter rentals (I think Buena Vista Scooter) is actually located that the Boardwalk. So maybe you could look into what a one day rental would cost and just use it for the day of the wedding? That way you would probably just pick it up and drop it off at the boardwalk and not worry about it otherwise. Even if you don't actually need it all day, it might worth the cost just to make sure your guests are comfortable mobility-wise.

Just an fyi- I just got married at Sea Breeze three weeks ago. I let my wedding coordinator know that I had a guest (my father) who had trouble walking long distances, and he arranged to have a wheelchair ready. It was there waiting for him at the dessert party too! Really it was very easy- we just had to return the wheelchair to the hotel afterward.
