Let's Set the Record Straight on NYE

We did the MK on NYE 2004, and it was packed by 10 am. No matter which park you decide to visit, I would be sure to make dining ressies for all three meals. You can decide to not show, but you don't want to be without a guaranteed place to sit at least 3 times that day! Also, make sure you have a comfy stroller, and bring a blanket, juice, toys, etc. to keep your little one comfy.

Traffic is NUTS on NYE night, so be prepared. We did stay at the MK untill midnight, and we managed to be on a bus in abouat a half hour. The problem is that once we were on the bus, we were stuck in a jam on property and didn't make it back to the Beach Club for over 2 hours!!! I put my DD on my lap to give her seat to another mother with a little one. We fell asleep on the bus, and my DH said that most of the people on the bus slept!
I would try to make sure that you visit a park near your resort so that you can walk if need be!

Even with all these challenges, we did have fun!

I just called to see if I could add dec 30,and 31st to our stay, Everything is sold out!!! Only the President suite at Animal Kingdom was available...... So it looks like it will be very busy...........

We did Epcot last year and had a great time. We got there around 3pm and it was crowded but they were still letting people in for awhile after we got there, I don't know if it ever reached capacity. It was such a great atmosphere, everyone was just having a wonderful time. If I wasn't having a c-section on Dec.26th we would be going again this year!

On site resort guests are guaranteed to get into A park, but it may not be THE park you are hoping for. If any park closes to capacity it is also closed to on-site guests. That particular perk is only useful when 3 or 4 parks close to capacity (which, to my knowledge, has never happened). If you are staying off site, you won't get into ANY park. If you are staying on-site, they have to let you into ONE of the parks, but it will be their choice.

So, if Epcot closes to capacity you won't get in, even if you're staying on site, but you will get into one of the other Disney parks that has not closed.
