After dinner at the San Angel Inn in Mexico, I took a little World Showcase walk to snap a few of the countries.

Here's Mexico's pavilion...I went for a darker composition here to keep it mysterious:

Went for a long exposure of the US, since I was using some telephoto from across the lake:

In the UK, the moon started poking itself out of the heavy clouds, and the cool moonlight against the warm glow of incandescent and sodium lights on the brick Pub building was just too cool!:

UK Pavilion:

Coming over the bridge to France...I liked the way the pavilion was framed by the trees, and the Hollywood Studios lights were in the background:

Then I loved farther across the bridge for one without the trees:

Just for the heck of it, and because the park was so empty at 11:15pm...I snapped one of the quiet bridge:

They are soooo nice. I enjoyed viewing them. How did you get all those pics with no people in them? Thanks again for sharing the photos.

Carla...not sure if you were referring to mine, but since I have some shots with few or no people in them, I'll reply just in case! For mine, two things helped - one was that it was later at night, into the extra magic hours...and since there aren't any action rides in the World Showcase area, it's much more empty during EMH than the future area. The other factor is that I was taking slow shutter shots on a tripod. When you leave the camera shutter open for 5, 10, or 30 seconds at a time, a person can actually walk right in front of your lens, but as long as they keep moving, they don't even show up in the shot - or leave just the smallest hint of ghost trail. If you look at the UK pavilion shot above, looking at the Sportsman's Shoppe, to the left crossing the street, you can just make out some faint ghosting lines. That was a family pushing a baby stroller through the shot - the only thing that showed up was a bit of reflection on a leg or the stroller.
