As we lead into Christmas let's make a list of our favourite US shopping sites.

Of course Disney Store is on the top of all our lists.

Then there are the standards such as Macy's, Gap, Banana Republic, Gymboree....

With endless gone, where is your favourite online shopping haunt

I'm going to give this freight forwarder a try, just with something small

http://www.myus.com/

Going to hit the Disney site with it I think, their postage is ridiculous...

Shoebuy are offering free international shipping on orders of $75 or more through to 23Oct

Lands End
Amazon
Book Depository

(UK not US, but still good!)
Next
ASOS

Shush, you might want to check out bookdepository.com as well as bookdepository.co.uk the next time you're shopping for books, I've found the prices on the American site can often be cheaper than the UK one! And they still do free shipping. Love book depository :)

My daughter is addicted to Asos :rotfl:

We've bought some great travel jackets etc from Scottevest.com. Shipping isn't cheap but they regularly do sales with big discounts on international shipping.

Bivouac.co.nz. , also not American but their prices compare well (especially with AUD to NZD exchange rate) and shipping is cheap.

I am looking at this site, can't see this offer anywhere and can't calculate shipping until I checkout.

When buying books if you go to booko.com.au it will tell the cheapest place to buy that book (usually book depository us or uk but sometimes not)

I agree with Shushh about Lands End - love their kids and women's clothes!

booko is a great site! Sometimes it's cheaper via the link from booko than the site direct? Not sure why. And good tip about checking both us and uk book depository sites as the prices are different! In short check all three!

Dabecs I'm a tragic lands end addict! I just love that their pants are hemmed to length. For me as a person who has short legs, it's an automatic saving to not have to have my pants altered. Their lined pants and jeans for the children are great for winter!

I have spent all day, browsing shoebuy,

Finally decided to commit and then, "sorry we do not ship to Aus"

GRRRRRR

Then,

Decided to go to Shoebuy.com.au - which redirected me to the US site!!!!

Double GRRRRRRR

So, anyone know where to buy shoes, specifically Vans?

Frustrating when they are $42 US, but $89 in Aus.

Hi Becpee. I've used this crowd for a quite a few things now - I don't have an account cause I don't buy enough, often enough. SO - they don't combine items - just forward them on immediately - by courier (DHL/FedEx). So if you have small, cheap items they get stuck in a huge box and cost a bizarre amount of postage. :sad2:
Doubled the cost of a couple of items for me - However a BIG, voluminous item turned out to be the best method. :teacher:

Thanks for that :thumbsup2

I've been looking at Macy's online, it seems the more you buy the better the postage...

Hello Christmas shopping!

I researched US shipping a while ago and MYUS was way too expensive. I have used HOP SHOP GO, and wait for them to have special like the first 1kg free, they also give a 10% discount on shipping if you pay via paypal. THey will consolidate the packages and wait until you tell them to ship. IT can still be dear though, without any specials.

I have found amazon to be pretty good with shipping rates, only issue is that many of the products are protected and won't ship to Oz to protect the rip off businesses that supply goods here. Oh, recently Amazon acquired Endless shoes which shipped shoes free to Oz so not sure whether the same applies any more.

And if you sign up to email newsletters with Amazon for certain products like clothing they will send you a 20% discount voucher on your first purchase.

This really frustrates me as well.

Would love to know that because DD14 desparately wants some but there is no way I'm paying the price you have to pay for them here in N.Z. :sad2:

Couldn't find anywhere travel mum, ended up buying the $89 ones, we had a 25% voucher, that brought them down to$67 , which is a lot in my mind for simple canvas shoes, with free postage.

It iis part of his birthday present.

If your DD can wait, I am sure you will get them cheaper in Hawaii.

Yes, DD will have to wait until Hawaii with the hope they are cheaper there :thumbsup2

I'm sure your DS will be thrilled with his present!

Regarding 'rip off ' merchants here, we buy almost all of DS's motor cross and motor bike gear online from America. His first complete set of clothing and safety gear, including boots, cost less than a jersey and pants here. DH also bought 4 wheels and tyres for his old quad bike and had them shipped from the US for the same price as one wheel and tyre from the tyre place here. It just doesn't make sense, does it.

I would spend a fortune with Yankee Candle if they would post to Australia, the scent I love is only available through the US site :headache:

We were in Hawaii in February and got two pairs of Vans for $40 at the Vans shop at Waikele Premium Outlets. We bought up big time !!
