We are leaving on Jan 30 for 7 8 days at WDW. While we are there on my DD Abby will have her 6th Bday on Feb. 3rd. We actually planning this trip to celebrate her birthday at Disney. Well now it is time to tell her we are going and would like to suprise her at a small birthday party we are having for her before we leave.

My wife and I are going to give her some small presents that she can take with her to WDW (autograph book and such), but what i need from you creative people is some wording for a make believe invitation from Cinderella to Abby inviting her to eat at the Castle for breakfast on her birthday. We are eating there on the morning of Feb. 3rd followed by a make over at BBB and then dinner at Chef Mickeys.

So the way we are gonna tell her we are going to disney is with this invitation.

All right all you creative people lets see what you got! And BTW who ever comes up with the best invitation will recieve a small gift from us when we return from WDW (nothing huge but just a little something from the world)!

Give some of the regulars a bit to get on the boards and I bet you'll have something real soon... :)

I have a picture at home with the invite I used for my niece's trip. I actually used a Cinderella autograph and vellum to transfer it onto the invite so it looks like it was signed by Cinderella

SOrry I have never heard of vellum. What is it and how would I do it. If it is a too involved process to tell me that is ok also!

You could use tracing paper as well. I traced Cinderella's autograph and pretty much made my own "rub on" with pencil and went over it with a marker. I used a piece of tan cardstock, crumbled it up, straightened it out, did it again and again - inked it to look like "old paper" and added some stickers for her to "get it" (she's 5) I then rolled it up like a scroll and tied it to the hand of a Tinkerbell Build-a-Bear. Here's a picture of the bear in her hands (she had already untied the invite) and here's a picture of her invite:

This just made me cry.

One of the wonderful Disigners made me an invitation for my kids.(from the Creative Disigners thread) They are fabulous and will customize just about anything for you. I can't remember who exactly made it for me as it was months ago...but it is a lot of fun looking through all their creative designs!

Chocovrdmicears,

Which DISigner did those for you? I really would love something just like that.

I am sorry, i can't remember which one did them for me?:confused3 It was months ago and I was working with several different ones on different designs so i have no idea who did them:sad2: ! I bet if you posted a new thread over on the disign board asking for invitation help, someone would be able to point you in the right direction. There are some sticky threads at the top of the design board that can connect you directly to some of the disigners websites. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help to you!

I would use a nice piece of paper and probably distress the heck out of it. :D

Hear ye, Hear ye,

The Royal Princess
Cinderella,
Hear by requests the
company of
Princess Abby
for breakfast
on her birthday,
February 3rd, 2008
at Her Royal Highnesses
Castle in the
Magic Kingdom

Love,
Cinderella

I would make it look like fancy invitation and probably even seal it with a wax seal, and put the signature on with the use of a scanner and then make a 'Rub On' by printing the signature (with an ink jet printer) on transparancy paper. (Make sure you set your printer to print a 'mirror image')

I can give better instructions via a PM if you like. :D

How much do I love that you are doing this for your daughter! It's too cute! princess:

Disneyamy,

I want her to remember this for as long as she can. Althought I am not sure if we will ever be able to top this for her.
