Let's hear from all you OFF KILTER fans !!!!

I am already looking at hotels :thumbsup2

This is very exciting:banana::banana:

Debbie

If I wasn't already going to be at WDW, I would be doing the same :thumbsup2. I feel like I got an inside scoop . So glad I could share it with my DIS friends:dance3:. I just checked the Indy Irish Fest website and so far there is no mention of 2010 entertainers. I know when we used to go (when Off Kilter was still performing at it) there were some great hotel package deals offered. I think the last time we went we stayed at The Westin (a short walk to Military Park) for ~ $100/night and that included Indy Irish Fest tickets for 4 of us for the entire weekend. It was a great deal :thumbsup2.

The Omni Severin has a hotel package for the festival weekend: http://www.indyirishfest.com/festivalinfo/lodging.html

Hi All ~ We returned last Friday from WDW. While chatting with Jamie after a show he said "We'll be up in your neck of the woods." Of course I asked where and when :confused3. They are the headline group for Indy Irish Fest (September 17 - 19). Of course I was thrilled that they would be an hour from my house, but then the dates clicked....I'll be at WDW September 16 - 25 for my birthday trip with my friend :scared1:. Jamie assured me that they will only miss playing on Sunday the 19th and will still play on the 16th when I arrive, whew :worship:. So, my DH will be going to Indy Irish Fest. Jamie asked me to tell DH that they want to "party" with him because they heard that he is lots of fun :woohoo:. Hmmm, I may get an "interesting" report when they return from Indy . I sure hope this means that they will start going Indy Irish Fest again. I LOVED 3 days of lots of Off Kilter at the fraction of a WDW trip :thumbsup2.

I just have one thing to say about this news...

Off Kilter playing seven days a week starting this week. British Invasion, too, for anyone who follows them.

Thats what I was thinking too, Nancy:sad2: I wont be back until December as it stands now.

I hope they'll be in the usual spot at Epcot in December. I'm involved with pipe bands (parade and competitative types) but LOVE to watch people having a lot of fun with the pipes......stopped 2 or 3 times on last visit!!!!!

They should still be in good ol' Canada in December...only 6 months from now!:woohoo:

Any new pictures or news out there ?

They've introduced a couple of new songs in the past few months -- of course I can't recall the names of them. Sadly, that means a few more of the old tunes aren't being done anymore. :(

There is a new fiddle sub, Jordan Woods Robinson, who is very good.

I saw them on Wednesday for four sets. The heat doesn't bother me as much as the cold does.

One week from tomorrow my husband and I plan on sitting in the heat, with a cold beer in hand, to watch Off Kilter!! If they can stand wearing those heavy kilts, I think I can handle the heat to watch them! I can't wait-- I was listening to their live album in the car last week I was so excited :goodvibes

Have fun for us all AshleyMWC. I agree with you NancyIL, it is just to hot and humid in Florida during the summer. We hope to be there in Oct. for the food & wine festival too.

It's too hot in FL for me to venture to WDW this summer. I intend to get my Off Kilter "fix" in October during the Food & Wine Festival!:woohoo:

Oh Yes!! Can't wait for Off Kilter, and the Food & Wine Festival. Two of my favorite things!!! So glad you decided to go then! :cool1:

 I just heard that WDW is planning to change Off Kilter's costumes to a hodge podge of "Canadian" people. I believe there is a cowboy, a lumberjack, a hockey player, etc. I'm hoping that there will be a flood of emails to WDW to protest this change. Maybe then they will change their minds. :sad1:

I don't know if there is a better way to post this since this is the first post for me, but feel free to put it wherever it will do the most good.

Thanks a lot.
