Let's Discuss Corn Dogs

I've always wanted to try one of those delicious looking corn dogs at the Little Red Wagon on Main Street, but have never had the chance. When I was in the park on Monday, I was surprised to see people eating corn dogs on the patio outside the Riverbelle Terrace...and then figured out that they had purchased them at the Stage Door Cafe.

So I have two questions:

- Are the corn dogs "the same" at the Stage Door Cafe and Little Red Wagon?

- When I look on the Stage Door Cafe menu here on the boards, it doesn't list corn dogs. Anyone know why?

Thanks in advance, corn dog lovers!

Here is a more accurate menu for Stage Door: http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_sdc.htm

Maybe someone that's responsible for updating the menus on the DIS will see this and make the change?

They are supposed to be the same, but I always go for the Red Wagon... the "Original" ;)

If you would be interested in something like a hot-link corn dog instead of a regular one, you can get that in California Adventure at Corn Dog Castle.

I agree...I go for the little red wagon, BUT I have had the ones in DCA too and they are about the same! There is just something about the wagon though ;)!

I actually had the one at The Stage Door because DS wanted chicken nuggets for lunch and a friend wanted something from Riverbelle Terrace. It was nice to be able to please a lot of different palates in one general location, and I always enjoy the seating outside RBT. The corn dog was delicious...I was just wondering if I still need to try the Wagon or not. Sounds like I do...such a chore! (Kidding!)

I can't tell the difference between the ones in DCA and at the wagon ... never had the Stage Door one since we always get the funnel cake there!

Wagon For Life! LOL, jk! As far as I can tell, they use the same recipe and process at the Stage Door as they do at the Wagon. I've never actually stopped into the castle but I wouldn't be surprised to see the same thing there as well. In the end, it is a business they are trying to maintain and it makes for good business to take a good idea and run with it.

I've had the corndogs @ all 3 venues & as others have said, they're all the same. I'm sure glad they are though bc I'd go crazy if they tasted any different!

The last couple times I got a corndog at DCA it was not cooked all the way but never had any trouble at the other places. :confused3

First off, let me say I LOVE Disney corn dogs! It is always the first thing I eat in the Parks. Always.

We just got back from a weekend trip and I had a corn dog last Saturday from the Stage Door, because we were going to see Billy Hill.

I had never had a corn dog from there (we love the Little Red Wagon too) and what is interesting is that a) it tastes the same b) you can get fries with your corn dog (unlike the LRW). It is a bit more $, but it more like a meal.

I was going to say the same thing about the Stage Door corndog. They taste the same, but you can get fries with them and my non-corn-dog-loving DH can get chicken tenders (without having to wait in another line). :thumbsup2

And you get to sit at a nice table by the ROA and watch the Mark Twain go by!

The corn dogs are indeed the same throughout the park, but there does seem to be something a bit more magical when purchasing at the Wagon :)

Absolutely!

I drive down to Disneyland and almost every time I arrive late in the afternoon or early evening. Most of the time I skip lunch and have a corn dog from the Little Red Wagon as soon as I get there. It's a wonderful tradition and there's nothing like hearing the Main Street music and soaking up the experience when you first arrive.

We got a corn dog combo & the Fish 'n' chips at the SDC last Thanksgiving weekend, both were very tasty. The dog tasted the same as the Red Wagon dogs.
