Thanks, January can't come any sooner. I love Tigger and Eeyore, which is why we chose it. I've heard good reviews about Garden Grill and we can't wait to try it.:eeyore:

Soundtrack: Down in New Orleans

So where are we staying?
Port Orleans Riverside of course!

We love Princess and the Frog so this resort is right up our alley. I can quote every word to Almost There, Down in New Orleans and Never Knew I needed. The movie is perfect, except for the part where Naveen gets turned into a frog(creeped me out a bit).

Anyways, we've requested to stay in Alligator Bayou:

We're hoping to stay in buildings 16, 17, 37or 38, so we can get a banquette bed for the little brother to sleep on.

He'll get to sleep under Louis!

Louis is even on the pillows on the bed(hard to see here)!

Sorry the pictures are so big, I have no idea how to make them smaller!

We're going in January as well, and it'll sort of be our second trip -- we've been to Orlando twice, but for various reasons only my middle daughter and I have actually gotten to the Disney parks, and we just did one day at the MK. I'm older than your mom, but I'm way excited about finally getting to see Epcot. :cool1:

All the places you're eating at except the Sci-Fi would be on my list... if anyone in the family besides me was interested in eating at WDW. :p Can't be denied that sit-down meals take longer, meaning less park time that day, but I think your choices would be worth it. :)

I absolutely love Epcot! Such a wonderful place, on our lat trip we spent more time in Epcot than any other park.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!:wizard:

Soundtrack: When will my life begin?

We added a new ADR tonight!! We're going to be feasting on dinner at Whispering Cannon Cafe with crazy antics and all. We've never eaten here but all we've read has been fantastic.

Maybe we can even trick the brother into asking for ketchup;)

We saw one of those made at Downtown Disney, practically our first "Disney experience."

Dole Whips are... interesting. Once my brain decided it tasted like pineapple, it was pretty good, but with the very first bite there was a long minute there where it was just this weird concoction of random chemicals and my brain is going, "WHY ARE YOU FEEDING ME PLASTIC?" :rotfl: The ones I've had since tasted like pineapple from the git go, though. :)

Hi! We'll be at French Quarter the same time you are at Riverside! We plan on eating at the Riverside food court at least once!
We'll be at Epcot on Monday too. You're right, Epcot is awesome! I love planning dinners around the world showcase.

I love your bucket list, the cast member water drawings are so much fun. I've seen Stitch and Goofy!

Thats awesome, we're excited to stay there. And Epcot is truely amazing, I'm glad someone agrees with me!:cool1:

Soundtrack: I just can't wait to be king!

We have reservations to get pixie dusted/gel at the Harmony Barbershop but after reading on here on the boards I sadly found out that they have discontinued the gel because the company closed. I wish they would be able to find a new kind of gel to replace the old, but others have said that they most likely won't. The little brother was really hoping to get a hidden mickey on the back of his head.

More changes! After reviewing multiple crowd calenders, we've decided to change are park days and resturants around on Thursday and Friday. We decided that Thursday will be Epcot and Garden Grill(was MK and 1900 Park Fare) and Friday will be MK and 1900 Park Fare( was Epcot and Garden Grill). These will be our second days in both parks so the switch isn'tthat bad.

I also wanted to show you the hat and gloves I got the other day at Target. Yes, they are little girls but they fit and I thought they were adorable! (Actually this is the second set of the gloves I got. Long story short-I lost the first pair only a few days after getting them:worried:)

These pictures don't do them justice but the gloves are convertable which I adore.

I found out today that two rides that we really wanted to ride will be closed when we arrive in Disney :furious:! The Mad Tea Party and Splash Mountain will both be closed :( When we went last time the TMTP was closed then too. I was excited to ride since we missed it the last time around. We've never been able to take those iconic Disney tea cup pics and now we'll have to wait again:( And the little brother was really looking forward to riding splash mountain because we wouldn't let him the last trip.

Well that's a bummer. :( But that is one known disadvantage of going in January -- more stuff likely to be out of commission. You always know stuff will be down, but you don't know until closer to going exactly what! I'd heard about Splash but not about the teacups. I would never get on teacups but I think it's a pretty ride and meant to take pictures of it. Next time for both of us, I guess!

Those convertible gloves are keen. Now I want some, but no way will I fit in little girls' gloves! ;)

I know, we were aware of the possible closing when booking in January. (but it seems as though the teacups are avoiding us, being closed everytime :rotfl:) I was so glad they actually fit when I found them :cheer2:

Exactly TWO months from today we'll be back home:woohoo:!!

We went to visit my cousins this weekend and went shopping at the outlet mall. While there, I found a cute little bracelet(for only a dollar:goodvibes) that reminded me of one of my favorite princesses- Merida!

Today my mom's co-worker(who is also a major Disney fan, who sadly won't be going on their yearly trip this year :( ) brought her a wonderful suprise! They decided to do some cleaning this weekend and found a pin set that they had forgotten about. They were never really pin traders but they knew we were!

(my photo uploader wouldn't work, so I borrowed this from ebay-if this is your photo and you want it removed PM me)

Also I found out something else about one of my favorite lip balms. EOS now makes a Disney themed collection pack with Alice in Wonderland flavors, complete with a mickey head on the side! :worship:

(can't wait to see if my local Target or Walgreens has them:woohoo:)

Looks like you will get to ride those tea cups after all, refurbishment has been cancelled/postponed.:yay:
