We packed everything after dinner last night so that we would be ready to go this morning. Bell services came at 7:15 to transfer the luggage to the Coronado. I took a cab to the CSR $4.25 + tip. It's very close to the Dolphin.
I had faxed in our requests exactly four days prior and also had my requests on the reservations thru the WDTC. However, they could not accomodate any of the requests. We ended up in Casitas 3 overlooking the Dig Site and the Dolphin. Our rooms were not ready but the CM showed me on the map where we would be. I gave up as it had now been 45 minutes since I started the checkin procedure and I was getting impatient. DH and the kids were waiting for me at the MK and I was sure they were thinking that I was lost.
I took a bus to the MK and found everyone waiting at the bus stop. It's now 8:20 am. We got thru security quickly despite our mule packs, camera bags and my big black purse. The gates opened early and we lined up in front of the train station to watch the preshow at 8:45 am. Right before 9, the ropes dropped and we went about 90 miles an hour down Main Street and thru the castle. At 9 am, we sprinted to Dumbo and we were the very first people on the ride for the day. Sorry to all the people I knocked over with my purse while I was running past you! Tomorrow I'll take out my Unofficial Guidebook to travel a little lighter.
We did Peter Pan next then Pooh, Snow White, It's A Small World and the Tea Cups. Noone wanted to ride the Carousel. I kept saying where is everyone? It is Saturday and a holiday weekend. Shouldn't there be more people here?
It's almost 10 am. Our princess changed into her Cinderella dress that she had stuffed into her backpack and we all went to the castle. Meeting the Fairy Godmother was exciting to dd but the boys were more into the suit of armor. The princesses were lovely as was the food. My princess told Snow White (secretly) to give her oldest brother a kiss. Snow White called Cinderella over to the table and told DH to get the camera ready. They made my son stand between them and on the count of three, each kissed him on a cheek. He turned bright red but since camera took the picture half a second too late, they had to do it again.
We walked on to Buzz at 11:40. The rest of the kids went with dh to do Astro Orbiter. I found a bench in the shade and used all the mule packs as padding for my head and feet. I chilled for about 20 minutes. The older kids wanted to do Alien Encounter so dh took them and I walked around tomorrowland and waited in a cue to have 7 y.o. meet Buzz.
We got FP for Splash Mtn and watched the Country Bear Jamboree while Stitch finished his nap. We rode Haunted Mansion twice (walkon) then got a FP for Big Thunder Mountain. We rode Splash and BTMR and then settled for a spot on the porch of Peco's Bill for the parade. My itinerary says leave after the parade but my Grumpy says that since we're having such luck w/crowds, lets just stay. I ask him if he's feeling ok.
We head for Space Mtn and get FP. We rode the TTA and then the kids ride Space Mtn twice using Kiddie Swap. Time to go to the hotel.
Wow! The Casitas are beautiful! It's better than I anticipated. The sound of the fountains and the Mexican music in El Centro and all the flowers! We liked the rooms here even better than the Dolphin. The beds were very high and firm. We unpacked everything and then headed to the Pepper Market.
We used 3 vouchers. We got the Chinese Sampler, Ribeye Steak w/Veggies, and a Chicken Burrito w/Beans and Rice. We all shared but none of us liked any of it.
We start walking back to the room. Did someone move our rooms while we were at dinner? The walk didn't seem this long before dinner. After about 4 hours we finally got back to the room. (10 minutes probably but it seemed like 4 hours).
