We have been watching the Disney cruise site--new trips announced yesterday, with mention of an ABD add-on to the 4 day mini-Med cruise (essentially a three day ABD that takes to you Madrid and Barcelona). We called ABD to ask about that--and in asking about the release of new ABD trips we were told May.

As anticipated--DCL has an Eastern Med trip, including Athens and the Greek isles--which dovetails nicely with the new Greece ABD and the training of guides that can take on DCL/ABD add-on for the eastern Med cruise. The cruise also goes to Venice (guides already familiar there)--not Eygpt, but Turkey...so, in May will there be a Turkey ABD announced? (Nothing I can see on the official ABD site re the Madrid/Barcelona mini-Med offering).

I don't understand. They said they'd be announcing new, regular ABD tour destinations in May? I don't recall them having done that before. They announced the first Med ABD/DCL add-ons in like November the first time. I don't remember exactly when they announced the Gateway versions. But I don't remember a new destination coming out that early. That would be great if they actually gave people time to plan, rather than waiting so late.

But, then again, they never did a regular ABD to Tunisia or to Malta or to Corsica or to Cannes, and yet the Med ABD/DCL add-ons went there. I'm just not sure there's a direct correlation (but then, I haven't asked ABD and you have!)

Very interesting.

It doesn't matter if it's released early. When we tried adding an ABD on our Med cruise in 2010, the ABD add-on booked in a week! I'll be on the lookout this time and see if the activities interest us.

tufbuf--
Do you mean the ABD add-on was sold out in a week after it was announced? if so, yikes!!!! I would love to do one of the new med cruises with the add on, but don't know if I can plan that fast.
