Let The Regifting Begin!!! SENT AND RECEIVED THREAD

ohiominnie, we're so glad that Katie and Nick will enjoy the maze book. There are some doozies in there. And I'm glad that you have a home for the angel picture frame to go to.

Kirby, I gave all the angel stuff to my mom - she volunteers at a thrift store run by her church. I bet everything you sent me will find a good home! :D

I am hoping to hear about lots on Tuesday.....is Monday a Mail holiday?????? Enjoy the regifting!!!!

I do believe that Monday is a mail holiday :(
We have to wait longer to hear!

TigerBear, that's great! That way the items will raise a little money to help someone out and not sit on the shelf somewhere. I even bet that that ugly snowglobe will find a home!;)

If you have received a pm or email from me, please respond. I know the weather has been a bit rough for some, but I do need to know if there are problems. I really am here to help. I hate to be the big meanie, but there is "the list" and I really would hate to add people to it just because of miscommunication.

I really don't mean to be a downer, but for those who send within the time frames given, please do not read this. If you sign up for these exchanges, please be commited to them. Lately, there have been a lot of people signing up for things and NOT following through. Yes, "the list" is growing. For those of us who take the time to organize these tire of acting like hounds to get people to follow through. You also may not realize, for those that do not follow through, someone has to pick up the slack!!!!! Yes, it is getting to the point for me at least where I would almost rather not do these because are getting to be more and more of a burden. So, on that note, I implore you to follow through. If you can not, simply don't sign up. OK, I am off my soap box now.

Today is a mail holiday, so I am hoping to hear more tomorrow!!:teeth:

Yay! Liz.
It does get very tiresome to have people not follow through.....and expensive for the kind "elves" that pick up the slack :(

The last couple of ones I organized really got me down (so I am taking a couple months off from organizing)....way too many late and nonsenders :( We organizers get tired of being the "bad" guys and it gets tiring for us to have to "yell" and hound people to meet their obligations.
We are more than willing to work with any problems, but we can't if don't know about them......communication is key!

Okay...anyone else for the soap box ;)

so...happy Monday everyone. Hope we hear loads of news tomorrow.....and if you haven't mailed yet....please do it!

i just found more stuff, maybe that would be appreciated, for a re-gift.

How did I miss this exchange????
I'm watching for familiar items, however (LOL)

I wanna play next time...but usually if I get something I can't use..I usually pawn it off on one of the grandkids!! They'll take anything!!

This is fun reading, tho!

  I just typed a nice long post thanking Annie & Hallie's mom for my package...hit send...walked away....then came back to find it was eaten by the computer gremlins!!!

But alas....I really did enjoy opening my package Saturday night!!!! Our favorite is the bottle of half-used lotion....can't believe someone gave that to you as a real gift...

THANKS AGAIN Liz, or is it Liz|Beth??

back to work :(

Hey, Kristy (2bemarried)!:wave2:

I received my regift package today. I can see why you sent me the plasma ball. :teeth: It is a good thing that your brother-in-law is new to your family.:p I'd feel the same way. :(

I think that I will keep it for another regift exchange if you don't mind. :teeth:

These regifting exchanges are fun. :rotfl: You never know what you are going to get.:scratchin

Thanks Kristy!:goodvibes

2bemarried -- you can call me Liz or Beth. People call me both. And I'm glad you liked the gift.

And yes, I really did get the gift of a half used bottle of lotion. The scent was nice, but not me and I just got a laugh out of the half used bottle. (Not naming names here to protect the guilty).

Meanwhile I would be remiss if I didn't thank Tigerbear for the photo album. I think it's great and will be using it!

:p You're welcome!! I knew the plasma ball would be "unique" for this exchange. Might be one of those fun games when regifting...like "who gets the plasma ball". I know there was another gift that was said to be waiting for another exchange.

Beth...I normally like that scent of lotion but it's a bit OLD....just had to laugh when I saw it again this morning.
I'm going to give the book a try this summer. In an English class this semester so no time to read fun books. The candle is really nice...I think my mom will appreciate the smell :teeth:
Husband has already claimed the pan scraper since he does the dishes. It'll keep him from scratching the pans. The date book will be used as well. Oh...and eeyore has joined the rest of our stuffed friends collection.

THANKS AGAIN....this was a FUN exchange!!

I got my regift parcel today and there are not words to describe what I got, WOW, doesn't even do it justice.
Meriweather sent to me a box with TWENTY-FIVE items in it.
I will tell you about a few of them.......
a Marionette from Mexico that has been in the bag for 7 or 8 years, I like her but her face is a little scary.............. a canvas bag from a friend in Germany..............a toy doll in a bottle left over from a Christmas party..........freebie soaps, shower caps etc...........candles (cute chicken ones)..........a mouse pad .........eyelash curler..........bead bracelet..........bathroom organizer..........scarf..........squirt gun..........little backpack ..........inflatable candy dish..........a duster ( you will be glad to now that the duster is now a cat toy and Mischief is having great fun with it!)
Some of these items have come from other exchanges and I think that maybe some of them may move on to future exchanges.

and my most favourite thing of all that was in the box was a Mickey Mouse Mouse for the computer that she got for Christmas a few years ago but it does not have a middle wheel and she is addicted to that wheel.........I am going to see if it will go on my computer at work.

Thank you Nancy for the lovely box full of goodies. I had so much fun checking it out and I am glad that I could help you out with cleaning up your house of clutter. :p

Robin

Glad it arrived Robin...hope you can use some of the things (and these regift excahnges are a great way to get rid of the rest ;) ).
I hope the MM mouse works for you. I hated to part with it but it has been in the drawer for several years..

I'm so glad! Like I said, I don't think it is a bad gift - just not right for my man. :p I had actually planned on keeping it for myself until I saw the thread about the re-gift exchange.

lizdotcom99, thanks for putting this one together. It was fun!!

I got my other regift today from Helenabear(Elaine). She sent me two neat things:

A Hello Kitty pink lamp. She was given this by her husband's grandma and has no use for it.

A nice pair of seashell earrings

Thanks Elaine for the regifts.

I received one today :teeth:
From Eeyoreforever......and it is not too bad :)
The Clay Aiken "Measure of a Man" CD.
I don't have it....I'll check it out.
She received it as a gift from her SIL and doesn't really like him (don't blame me :duck: ).
Thank you Cathy....:wave2:

And thank you Liz....I'm working on yours! ;)

Got my package today from Shopgirl. Some keepers and some will have to find another home. I got a calendar mousepad-each month you take off a page just like a regular calendar. I will use this. The bath soak will have to go since all I take is showers.. I love the sun ripened raspberry candle and will definitely use. The banana split cheesball mix -eeewwww-what else can I say? The body scrub is not bad-my dd wants it. Also love the 2 yankee tarts-keepers. Two bags of tea and a box of valentine heart candy to top it all off. I don't think I skipped anything. Thanks a lot shopgirl! This was my first exchange and was really fun. By the way, shopgirl had several disney bags used as packing material and my younger dd took those to play with.
