Let the Planning Begin

I am sooo excited! I just booked our hotel and thanks to info from these boards was able to score the entertainment rate at HOJO. I was really wanting to stay onsite, but the difference in price will allow us to do many many extras that we probably wouldn't have considered before. We are going during the AP blackout days, again thanks to info from these boards. Hoping to get there before Carsland opens so that the crowds will still be light. So now on to planning our days in the parks, hopefully adding in a beach day, and deciding whether or not to do Universal (doesn't look to appealing to me) and Legoland (which I know my kids would love!) So, thanks for all of your help so far, and thanks in advance for helping with the questions I know I will have in the future!

And now for the first of those many questions: I didn't book a park facing room, but is there anyplace on property (like the pool area), that you can go to watch the fireworks if you aren't in the parks at the time?

Yes the pirates cove pool area, and the parking lot near it. Though I would only watch from there if you are with kids who aren't awake enough to still be in the park.

The view is a 1/10. Sure you can see them, but it's nothing compared to being in Disneyland itself.

What are the ages of your kids. USH is for older kids, LL for younger kids.
