Let the Planning Begin!

Finally......we can start planning our Disney Family Vacation!!!!!

Who's coming: Me - Kristin - mom, wife & avid Disney planner
- Scott - dad, hubby & "just along for the ride"
DD - Emily - 11yrs
DS - Ben - 9yrs
GMA - Gramma

So DH and I have been tossing around the idea of heading back to Disney with another family, which are very good friends. We had decided to go the 2nd week of December...........accept, the other family backed out last week. The kids were really bummed, we were really bummed......even thought about not going at all, then all of a sudden, my Kids camed running downstairs very excited and blurted out that they still want to go and they want to bring Gramma!!! So, we thought why not! My mom has been only once, and that was back in 1995 in December. She loves Disney, and all things Disney, and has always said that going back to Disney was on her "bucket list". So, the kids get on the phone and tell her she is going.....you could here her squeal with delight on the other end. So after an hour of her talking with the kids about the trip, when to go, what to do we finally hung up and I went into what I call "Disney Diva Mode"......the calendar came out all the books came out, all the websites were searched and 3 days later, we decided on the whens/wheres/whys of it all...........

When: Saturday Nov 26th to Satuday Dec 3rd
Where: Shades of Green Military Hotel (one of our favorites)
Why: We booked SOG because we LOVE the size of rooms and the discounts.
*** Bonus.....called SOG expecting to pay 138.00 per night....only to be told they were running a special, and are only paying 76.00 per night!!!! Woooohooo!
Tickets: 7 day length of stay park hopper (unless they come out with a super deal on tickets for the military)
Special Events: Candle Light Processional w/dinner package at Le Celliar (sp?)
Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride (just me & hubby)
Mani/Pedis - girls only! @spa
ADR's: Prime Time Cafe
Brown Derby
Chef Mickey
O'Hana

I am sure that we will change and add things over the next few months, but hey, we have until 180 days out, right? So, in the meantime, we will be checking on the boards often, picking up the latest copy of Birnbaums and making lists of "must do's".

Thanks for letting me just ramble on.........we are ALL soooooo very excited about going.....November can't get here fast enough!
