Of course I am supposed to leave tommorrow morning on a 6:35 a.m. flight to Orlando. But I am crazy enough to live in the State of Minne....colder. Of course right now its snowing like crazy with an expected snowfall of 6 to 8 inches. Winter storm warnings all around.

We we are pack and ready to go! We were going to reschedule this trip to March but I change my mind because of the low crowds now compared to March Spring Break crowds at Disney.

Flights out of MSP are being cancelled as we speak. I need to think about relocating to a warmer weather. Maybe Orlando to be closer to the Mickey. Hmm....I will have to look into that when we get back...if we get to leave.

That stinks! I am in MA and we are getting that storm tomorrow night. Everyone here is going nuts planning for a blizzard ... who knows what'll happen.

If your trip gets cancelled, I am sure you'll make it anyway. Whats the weather like in Orlando? I think it was cold this week, no ? Maybe I'll work out better somehow ... maybe it will turn out good in another way.

Hold on !

My sis is suppose to fly home from there 7pm tomorrow, have a felling she isnt going to get out... but she is not in WDW.. maybe she will be tho LOL

I live in CT, we too are bracing for the Blizzard that is heading our way. My guess, by tomorrow morning you may find some flights delayed, but you'll be OK to fly out. Airports really are good about cleaning up quickly. The big thing is, where is the plane you plan to board coming from. If it's from the south, or west coast, it will be able to land there tomorrow no problem and get you out. You may find some pretty nice offers from the airline to tempt you into giving up your seats so another family that couldn't fly tonight can get out tomorrow morning. So, call the airport tonight, and maybe tomorrow morning, say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed. I'm betting you'll get out sometime tomorrow morning!! :D (and no, I'm not usually a glowing optimist. I've just had my share of near snow-ins at Logan Airport in Boston - I grew up in MASS) and I know things usually find a way of getting through. Good luck!!!

Good luck getting out. I am in SW MN and we had freezing rain all day and snow on top of that. The winds are suppose to pick up to 50 MPH so we will have blizzard conditons. Hopefully MSP won't get the wind. Take the phone number of your resort with you to the airport and call if you are going to be delayed checking in so they hold your reservation. Hopefully you don't have to drive far to the airport, if you do, you might want to go tonight before it gets really bad. The Comfort Inn and Suites on the back side of the Mall of America will allow you to leave your car for free if you stay overnight before you fly out and they have a free shuttle to the airport. We were just in Florida, Naples not Orlando, this past week and that was a nice benefit. Good luck!

Storms coming this way tomorrow am. Expecting 6-12 depending on where in Pittsburgh you live. Snow snow go away...come again another day! As long as there is no snow on the 28th......

7 more days!

15-20cm expected for here in Toronto starting tonight. as long as the storm isnt @ Pearson airport Feb 1, its all good. ::yes::

We're expecting 10+ here in NJ. It looks like a lot of shovelling tomorrow.

I left the New England snow behind and moved to Seattle. Whoops! Trading snow for rain rain rain!

Bundle up and stay warm folks.

Oh... and don't forget the milk and bread. ;)

I feel for you. We are also from MN and leaving for Disney in a few weeks. My biggest fear is getting snowed in! :Pinkbounc

Leaving CT (BDL) tomorrow....hopefully at 6:40 PM. Were supposed to go out
Sunday at 7:00 AM, but I doubt that would happen. Staying at BCV and got a $79 rate for CBR tomorrow night (AP rate)!! So, no penalty for changing and a pretty good rate for CBR. Looks like we''ll be at Disney World a little bit earlier!

Bye for now!! :charac2:

hopefully you will be well on your way before it gets too bad

and then you can be sitting in your lounge chair catching rays feeling sorry for us all back here in the east

I'll see your 10 inches and raise you 10 inches:) The Cape's gonna get burried again:( My trip isn't coming quick enough!

Just got back from running my errands..I am soooo not leaving this house at all this weekend!

Hope all this snow doesn't interfere with anyone's plans to see Mickey! I'm sending tons of pixie dust your way :wizard:

We too were upgraded this afternoon from a storm watch to a storm warning. We're expected to get at least a foot, but it's the high winds that are going to create the real problems.

We actually usually have one knock 'em down snow storm by now, and we haven't. So we're in for a real doozy!!

Here's lots of pixie dust that you get to leave safe and on time!!!

Hope you can get on your flight! There is a grim 9 inches on our drive way just an hour North of Mpls. Hey, at least you have a chance of escaping this! Perfect timing!

My dad and his buddy are in Orlando golfing right now...some of you MN-ans have brains enough to get away!

My trip isn't until P-week. But, I do have plenty of hardwood for the stove, marshmallows for the hot chocolate, a snowblower in good working order, a hot tub, and several bottels of red wine. So, I'm ready!

My sister lives in the mountains in Ca and with all the snow they had she was concerned about her flight she was taking the next day. (southwest air) They not only changed her flight the day before they switched her airport because she felt driving to vegas would be easier the driving though the mountains to Reno. They didn't even charge her more. If you here of a storm coming I would give a call. Twice - her first call they said it would cost $500 more and the second call nothing.

We were supposed to leave today and be in WDW tomorrow. We're driving because we love to drive and are staying with my parents after we leave the BC. But we are still sitting at home because of snow and ice. But....I was allowed to change my reservation to Tuesday and keep the same rate that I had originally! :Pinkbounc

I'm in Chicago and we're just getting finished with the snow. We've already had about 8-9 inches!!! I'm leaving for WDW Sun. at 6:45am...fingers are crossed. Good luck to you as well!!!
