Let dowm by Taxi

We don't go until December, but I had booked taxi as we land on New Years Day.

Yesterday got a letter advising that our booking had been cancelled & a refund would follow in 28 days

Finally got through today & they say they are no longer trading as they don't have the taxi licence they need! Not sure about the refund - when I asked the girl said 'I'm just paid to take calls'.

Will have to start searching - some firms are not working NYD.

Are you talking about a taxi when you get home as you say you land NYD but are going in December?

I used Samstrasportation.com last month and found his service to be excellent.

He was the cheapest i found also.

Yes - sorry if not clear - it's the UK taxi firm - still got my £75 as well!! Apparently they no longer have a licence

The letter said 28 days for refund - by that time they'll have probably packed up & left! I live in hope.

Luckily after about 7 phone calls got another one booked.

He does a shopping trip. He had one of the passes that lets him drive straight through the tollbooths, but he never asked for any extra for that or for the shopping stop. He took us to a Wallgreens before hitting the interstate, but he asked us where we wanted to go and would have taken us anywhere.

Very friendly and punctual.

Hope you get your money back OK. Xmas is only time of year I drive to the airport, fly Xmas day, I feel uncomfortable even asking if they would do it on Xmas morning.
