We’ve had the pleasure of being at the BWV this week. It’s one of our home resorts for 19 years and still our favorite place. Being that it’s just DH and I, we booked a pool view studio.

It’s beautiful and well taken care of. My room location was met and I have 99% positive feedback on our studio.

My 1% (and I’ll probably email DVD management ) is more a strong suggestion rather than negative feedback. As most of you know, the studio has a queen bed and a pull out sofa. Between them is a night stand. It’s the only night stand. The bed is too close to the wall for a second nightstand. I get that. I’m hoping DVD management will consider putting a small corner shelf or something on the side of the bed closest to the wall. There no place for a glass of water, or my phone and glasses. It makes that side of the bed uncomfortable and trying too get over a sleeping spouse to put my glasses down or take a sip of water is not really homelike comfort. Or even hotel like comfort. That’s the only thing this entire trip I found missing.

Anyone else find this inconvenient?
The rest of this trip is awesome. The parks manageable. We are able to dine in any place we’ve chosen with no problem. The weather great-hot this week but great. The Boardwalk bustling. Over all a near perfect trip!

That’s it for now.

Yes, I do. And it's not only at BWV but in most of the studios. At least they added them at PVB and CCV. Even OKW with all it's room has just the 1 nightstand between the 2 queen beds in the studios. I decided whomever did the room designs is not a glasses wearer or ever wanted anything by their side of the bed.

And no outlet! Have to keep my phone somewhere else. Since the phone is also my books, and always needs to be charged at night....having no outlet on one side of the bed is also an inconvenience, even with my 6 foot cord.

I find this so annoying!! It's bad enough you need to shimmy between the bed and wall but I hate that there is nothing for me to put my glasses, water and phone on! Of course my husband who wears no glasses sleeps on the nightstand side of the bed (because he always sleeps to my left). I LOVE BWV ...but hate that set up! A shelf would be an awesome addition!!

We haven't even stayed there yet (going in June) but this has already become a bit of an "argument" between DH and I. He needs somewhere to put his CPAP machine, but I hate sleeping next to the wall, and not having a table/shelf or outlet. I'm always the first one up so I want my alarm beside me.

DD has a small folding stool she uses for dance competitions, I'm thinking about taking that and seeing if it will fit between the bed and wall and if so, it should be sturdy enough for his machine.

I found this so funny as my husband and I travel a lot and the one thing he insists on is sleeping on the right side of bed. I need a nightstand for glasses pills and water too and I hate sleeping against the wall as I need to get up once a night normally and have a hard time climbing over him. As insignificant as it is , it causes us many arguments and why I always try to get a one bedroom if available. I will sleep on either side as long as I can get out and have my night stand. He is inflexible. LOL

I always think the exact same thing when I stay there....and always forget to email them...so will do so as well. I ended up putting my carry on sideways next to the bed and was at least able to set my phone on it.

Sometimes I wonder if people who design hotel rooms or management of the hotels actually spend even a night in their hotels.

I did this exact thing. Put my suitcase sideways, opened the top outside zipper part and used it for my hair clip, nightly eye cream, glasses and magazine. I’m sure the designers who created this design flaw have a night table next to them at home, so what the heck?

Also, just as a side note, the bed is not against the wall...close but not against. You do have room to get up for that annoying nightly “water break”

Our dues should cover the basic convenience of an outlet and a shelf, don’t ya think? Hellooooo Disney can you hear me?

You could take the trash can and turn it upside down.

I have a small plastic shelf I bought on clearance at bed bath and beyond. It’s made by madesmart out lightweight plastic and has legs that fold up. Solved the issue for eyeglasses and phone.

Yes! We are here this week too in the same room type and it is my only complaint. Its our first stay here and I love it, but it is incredibly annoying to have no place to put my glasses. I"ll drop an email too!

I always sleep by the wall, I always get up. I would appreciate a small shelf for the tissues I like to have handy.

I’m glad I’m not the only person with this complaint. I’ve been using my suitcase for years as a bedside catch all.

Anyone have the email to send to? I’m writing from my cell phone and not home.

At BWV now. I always sleep on the side near the wall and the bathroom. I have developed a cold (flying this time of year will do that) and needed to have tissues handy, so this was my solution just last night. I used the trash can found under the vanity sink.

I 100% agree. It's seems like such a dumb place to cheap-out. I put an empty suitcase there to use as a table but that is a little unstable for a glass of water.
