Hi Everyone,

My DH is taking my DS off resort for the day and I will be left alone with DD 3 and DS 7. My DS is Autistic and I reserved a mom's helper because I need an extra set of hands in unfamiliar territory. The question is.....Do I attempt a sit down meal or do I look for a quick service/casual? Also, if it was you, where would you eat and what park would you go to for 1/2 the day.

Thanks,
Doreen

I'm not sure I would do a TS meal just because if things dont go right, it could be costly ($). I might do a CS meal somewhere that might be a little more quiet. Not sure what park you will be in, but Columbia Harbor House comes to mind. Upstairs is usually pretty quiet and it is air conditioned. That could be a good "break".
Also remember to eat at non-peak times so you can be seated and eating before the hoards of crowds come in.
I took my DD and DS alone last year-DD has aspergers. With good planning and flexibility, you will have a great day!

I agree about the counterservice, but I would like to mention the upstairs at Columbia House is not always open. Depending on the time of day the outside patio at Cosmic Rays can be peaceful. At HS The Backlot has little out of the way areas. Sunshine Seasons in Epcot is large but some areas are quiet. Pizzafari at AK has a backroom that is empty when it first opens for the day.
