And we functionally got exactly what we wanted. We weren't going for much - its a short trip - but early dinners at Flying Fish, Marrakesh, Spoodles and California Grill - no probem - for parties of eight in mid-October. San Angel Inn was more problematic - we had to split into two tables of four or eat too late at night for the kids - but we will be sick of our guests and ready for a family meal by then anyway (and maybe they'll seat us close). We could have even had fireworks time at CG.
Granted, I wasn't looking for a princess meal or Le Cellier. And free dining will be over (but F&W will be going strong).
