Less than magical day: death involved.

To be brief.... I found my dead neighboor's body today. He had apparently been days for 3 days. Or more. It was disgusting. Traumatizing. Having the "savior" reflex, I checked his pulse.... Though you could see by looking at him he was dead.

My doc gave me medicine to relax until I get to see a therapist.

Nothing a 25 y/o should ever see.

He had been my neighboor for over 20 years. He was a great guy.

I thought the dis might help me get through this.

Wow! I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Seeing a dead person for the first time can certainly be traumatizing. And it's worse when you actually know the person.

I had seen my grandmother dead... but I did not find her in a traumatizing position..you know?? She was at the hospital.

In august I had to put my 15 y/o cat to sleep.

Yet... how I found him is very traumatizing..

I'm so sorry for your experience. It's very unsettling, I know. We went through something similar last year--our neighbor committed suicide, and when his family members found him, they came and got my husband because he's a policeman. My husband went over there, but it was obvious that he was dead and had been for a couple of days. Called 911, etc. DH was quite upset at first--Even though he's a cop, he hasn't dealt with that kind of situation before, but he felt better with time. I'm sure that you will too. I'll keep you in my prayers.

He was supposed to have a hernia(sp?) operation.

A very cursed family. Let's leave it at that.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. You're right, no 25 year old should have to see that.
