For many of us, by this time next Saturday, the anticipation of what the big fly guy in the sky brought all the DIS boys and girls (lurkers too!) will be revealed! :D

The malls are packed, the credit cards are hot to the touch, and the debit machines are s l o w i n g down. :smooth: I'm doing my part to help that happen! ;) :)

Are you wrapped and ready? :)

Not me, but somehow it'll work out!

The heat is on!!!!

Wrapped so pretty, and tied so tight, I'll keep you guessing, on Christmas night.

My line from my kindergarten Christmas play! :flower3:

Picked Up the Last of My Thank You Gifts to those that will be working on Christmas Day!

Since it was our St. Nicholas Day yesterday, gave DD her presents already!

Now All we have to do is pack! And away we go!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All and to All A Happy Holiday!

Scratch

I think I've finally bought everything (and spent enough money ;)). Now I have to find where I've hidden everything (that could be a real challenge! ), get it all wrapped and put back in their hiding spots until Christmas eve! As old as they are, I know my DSs will try and peek otherwise.

Finished here :). DD was leaving for NS in Nov and I had a business trip in Dec (now moved to Jan, grrr) so I was shopping like crazy in early Nov already, lol. Took 2 days off work last week to bake and do all the rest if it...so I'm as ready as I'll ever be :flower1:

We usually go on a trip early Jan so I'm often racing around doing both...booked in Feb this time, its nice to still have time to pack and get ready for that instead of doing both at the same time.

Done!!

...and almost packed...LOL!!!:teeth:

:sunny:

I'm done with all my shopping too. I didn't leave it all to the last minute :) Now it's just a matter of wrapping everything up and dropping the presents off!

All I need is a digital camera for DD and we are done. Had one early Chritmas last weekend with father and stepmother, and just had one today with mother and step-father so all I have to do Christmas day is sit in my pj's and watch the Disney parade and the juniors play some hockey.

I envy all of you who are done with your shopping and wrapping!! ::yes:: :)

Some day, when I grow up, I'll be an organized, responsible adult too! :earboy2:

Just 6 more days Janet, WooHoo!! :D

Julie, I'm sure I haven't spent quite enough money, yet! ;)

I'm dreading going to the grocery store to pick out our fowl sacrifice, I'm sure the place will be packed!!!

We did get quite a bit accomplished yesterday. Now I'm about 64.8% ready, food for Christmas day not included. :)

Ho Ho Ho!!!!

Glad I'm not the only one who does this.!!

I have everything bought and wrapped thank goodness. This is the first time but that is because I didn't make ornaments for everyone this year. No one seemed to appreciate them and I never even got thank you's so I decided that this year I wouldn't waste my time or money. I did not buy them anything either, so they will get nothing. Now this is the extended family not my own family so it will be okay. I feel liberated this year. I have already got everything ready for the 3 different dressings so I am really ahead of myself that way as well. Tomorrow I will start to clean the house but I have the dgrdd's 3x this week.

Nope, not ready -- can we extend the deadline!!

Work has been so busy that I've done virtually no shopping and absolutely no wrapping. My DS gave me a nice typed list of his requirements and I've misplaced it.

No tree yet but have cleaned the living room and dining room.

Am now trying to figure out how to get a tree, decorate it, shop, wrap, cook and finish cleaning and still get some sleep.

Every year I pledge to do better and be ready by July and every year I'm doing things at the last minute. I think I must like the adrenline surge!

Tree's up. Most of the presents are bought (thank you internet) but not wrapped. All that's left is to order some gifties to be delivered to Mom and Dad in Florida.

Oh, and grocery shopping for our traditional Christmas Eve Snackies.

I am exhausted just reading this! Lots of pixie dust is coming your way.

I hope everyone makes it to the December 25th finish line in one piece!

We spent all day Friday shopping and braving the crowds at the mall - what a zoo. I think we have almost everything now, except for a few stocking stuffers I plan to pick up tomorrow. Now for the wrapping. I keep procrastinating, and all the bags are sitting in a pile in our walk-in closet - tomorrow night is the night, no matter what! Good luck everybody...

Gifts are bought, wrapped and ready to be loaded in the car with our luggage tomorrow. Off to my folks near Kamloops for the holidays followed by a swift jaunt down to Seattle on Boxing Day :wave2: to hop on a flight to Florida. Very much anticipating Clearwater Beach, Universal Studios, 7-day cruise then 3 action-packed days at WDW. Can't wait to try AKL for the first time!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! :wave2:

How are you progressing, Fiona? Did you get a chance to do some shopping and wrapping? Get a tree? :)

I'd love to extend the deadline also! Another week should do it. ::yes::

Your holiday plans sound like fun, Madge! Have a safe trip, an awesome time, and a great Christmas!! :)

I broke a tooth last week (as some of the DIS Babes know, ;)), and the other day I broke an even bigger piece of the same tooth! I went to the dentist today, and he recommends I puree my turkey!! Yuck!! :earboy2: No cashews or peanut brittle (my favs!) for me until I get a post and crown.

74% finished now...... :D

Update - We have a tree (artificial though as all live trees seem to have found homes already!). I have also started shopping. Zellers had almost everything at an extra 15% off today which was a pleasant surprise. Only gifts wrapped are those for the office. The rest will get done at some point before Saturday morning. Sleep is becoming an optional activity but since I'm hoping to be off work from the 24th til the 3rd I will have a chance to sleep afterwards.

No percentage towards completion but at least it's started.

I even remembered to buy tape this year!

That's what I need to add to my list, more tape!! :)

I'm glad things are finally happening for you Fiona! :) Now, can you do something about this storm???????? :scared1: :)

I'm done. just payed $48. for the turkey It better be filled with gold when I Open it up to stuff it. Hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe holiday week.
