Less suitcase or more room?

I am sorta kinda packing since I am off today and have a ton to do at work before we leave Saturday.

I have 4 suitcases... well large suitcase and two little ones and a bag (with toiletries that I cannot carry on b/c of the size of the liquids....

They are not full at all though. I could definitely combine and loose one bag, but then they will be really full. I am thinking it is better to leave extra room since we most likely will come back with more than we took... right?

Definately leave the extra room for all the "stuff" you come back with! I've had to buy an extra bag just haul my goodies home because I didn't plan ahead

you will DEF need the extra room. jumpin's i just bring an empty big bag with us. we are on a budget and don't spend a whole whole lot, but its always nice to not have to jam everything in so tightly....so IMHO you should bring the extra

Leave room if you dont you will most definitely regret it when you get souveniers

Double check with your airline if they are charging for bags- you might want to reconsider if they are charging you for a second (or even first I guess now) bag.

If you are travelling on an airline that charges for extra baggage I would cram everything in and take less luggage but pack an extra bag to come home. That way you only need to pay the second luggage fee one way on your travels.

We are flying American.. but out tickets were bought long before the baggage charges so we still get 2 bags per person (8 total) checked for free. So that is no problem!
