less expensive airfare?

hi to all: wait list came through for beginning of november(11/7-11/13), now i have to find affordable airfare. there aren't any specials running right now- the cheapest airfare i can find is between $250-$450 per person. has anyone done priceline? good/bad/other? any ideas? TIA

Watch Southwest!
when they have Airfare sales,so does their competitors!! Usually with better deals!

Don't panic! Wait! But when you see your targeted Price be ready to buy,right that minute!!cuz an hour later it could be gone,gone,gone!!

thanks for the quick response tink2dw! i don't think southwest flies directly out of newark,nj. any other ideas? i have to commit to the villa by tomorrow afternoon.

Go to www.qixo.com and type in your dates of travel. It polls a lot of different web sites, including www.hotwire.com, for airfares and displays them on the screen for you. If your trip is going to be short, I would not recommend either Priceline or Hotwire. The routings could lose you a day on either end by coming in late at night and leaving early. Then again, a lot of the cheaper airfares are at the more undesireble times.

If you decide to do hotwire or priceline, I would suggest priceline. Priceline usually beats hotwire. Also, there is currently $25 bonus money per ticket available.

sign up for sidestep too. this will automatically check all the fares of all carriers while you are checking out one sight. right now nov fares really aren't out yet and won't be for a while. there are too many other specials to come out before they even think of nov! also think about checking on the transportation board for air specials as we post a lot of them over there! have you signed up for any of the fare trackers on any of the web sights? http://web-travel-secrets.com/links/links.htm thry this sight it has many links to so many sights to help with airfare! and it can help you out as well for fare trackers!
