Lesbian nightlife?

Wow I think I break some lesbian rules!

Yes we have a truck . We also have fun things like bobcats and such. We also have a Subaru.

However, we usually leave the house to go out around 10 pm. My girl also owns a production company that is involved with mostly Drag Kings. We are also very active in womens pro football. We have been together for 13 drama years.


As for bars in Orlando…… we never go ! When we are at Disney we get up and do so much we are usually pooped by 10! Although if we knew where to go we might change our minds….

Hmmm...

- 2 midsize sedans (but I do miss my Mountaineer, despite its gas-guzzling ways)
- Lucky if we're in bed by midnight, but that's because at least one of us is on a computer or working on some kind of hobby, and I'm an insomniac.
- Drama-free relationship for 3 years.
- Have only been in a bar 3 -4 times since we got together - although I spent much of the prior 20 years in (straight) bars since I'm a singer and most of my friends in those days were musicians.
- I haven't played pool in years.
- I rarely have more than one drink per night anymore, but that's because gastric bypass has left me unable to handle more than that.
- No pets at the moment, but only because our 19 year old cat recently died over the summer and we decided to wait until after our October trip to WDW to adopt new kitties.

Do we qualify?

We do have tickets to the WNBA Eastern Conference finals this weekend, if that helps. (Go Liberty!)

Aw, thanks. It was a rough summer. I'd only lived with her for about 2 1/2 years, but my other half had her since she was a kitten. She was devastated. (Another reason for waiting a few months to get new kitties.)

That I understand. There was a man in the shelter on Saturday looking for a couple kittens. He'd lost his cat a few months ago and was ready to get another one (or two, in his case). Losses are hard.

Oh my - if we do this survery is it different for different areas of the country????

Here in NJ to be a lesbian:
1. one has to play golf (I play VERY poorly - but enjoy the walk!)
2. drive a Jeep (yea - I do....hunny doesn't like it, but we need it for the boat)
3. drink hard and long (wwwweeeellll - we do qualify on occosion!)
OR
3a. be a recovering alcholic

if one does hit the bars, they are in NYC...so one person can't drink, Fort Lee runs a drag net for DUI at the bridge on weekends!

4. be a baseball, football or hockey fan to the extreme....(hunny carries this one for us - I don't get the organized sports thing at all)

5. be into the drama - if one goes to Rubyfruits, be ready for drama, drama and a little more drama.

6. own at least one pet preferably a cat, but a dog is acceptable.

I'm obviously a bad lesbian....I stay up much later than 10pm and I don't play pool. I knew I'd be lost without the lez handbook.

I don't think this qualifies for me - since I work nights 10pm I am just getting going!

If anyone has a spare womanual around I'd love a copy. I don't need to buy a pick-up truck, do I? They're not allowed to be parked outside of a garage in my community and there certainly isn't any room in the garage for it.

For the record I don't play pool, I'm up past 10 and I don't drive a pickup truck. Well, ok, I do own an suv but that's because we get LOTS of snow!

I gave up my truck because it hurt my back climbing up into it.

I usually go to bed at 11pm or 12am and pray that I am asleep by 1:30am.

I love to play pool, which I suck at, and poker, which I am pretty good at.

I don't drink more than 2-3 adult beverages in a night, if that. Usually, I am content to be the designated driver. But, being that I haven't been out to a non-Disney bar in about 7 years or so, I don't even know if I could handle more than a drink in the night anymore.

I have been in a drama free monogamous relationship with Corey for the last 9 years.

We have 3 dogs and 3 cats. I am the cat person, Corey is the dog person.

Do I qualify still as a proper lesbian under the current code? I really should check in more often on these matters.

That's the problem! A few years ago I was oh so certain that I was straight.

I would fail even more horribly if I went by NJ standards. Even my friend who I'm seeing today who is from NJ would fail, but she's also came out later in life, so maybe we missed the intro course that was offered.

I do have cats and a comedien I saw recently explained why lesbians have cats, but it's not too family friendly, so I can't post it here.
