Les Chefs lunch ?

Does anyone have experience subsituting on the pre-fixe menu? I'm thinking fries for salad for my teenager? If they are really strict on that can you just order a side of fries?

The reports we have is that if you order from the fixed price menu, no substitutions whatsoever are permitted, not even substitution of side dishes. Most of those reports have been from Le Cellier. You can ask when you get to Chefs, unless your decision to eat there rides on the availability of this particular substitution.

If there is some sort of medical condition or allergy involved you might have a better shot at it but if it's just a food preference you should be prepared to be turned down.

Thanks. Eating there would not be dependant on that but was just curious about how strict they were. I can't imagine them turning you down to place a side order of fries and paying separately for them.

I would bet you could order fries if your intent was to pay for them separately. You probably couldn't order them instead of some other item that is already on the fixed price menu and have them included in the fixed price meal.
