We have never tried this restaurant, but I was able to get an ADR for January 15th and hour and 20 minutes before Illuminations starts.

Opinions needed, please. I actually switched from San Angel Inn, (wasn't crazy about the menu, and your opinions helped me decide.

Thanks,

We went 12/17 for the first and likely last time with the CP Package. The place is beautiful, and Remy was out and about, but we were unimpressed overall. I got the filet, which was a great cut and cooked correctly, but it was incredibly bland. Bland pretty much describes the entire meal, as well as DH's roast chicken dinner. Meats and veggies were tasteless, his chicken dry. The portions were huge, and the desserts (creme brulee and chocolate mousse cake) were great, but everything else was blah. I put salt on everything, and I NEVER salt my food. That's just my experience.

We had dinner there last Sept and absolutely loved it. The food was great and the servers were fantastic. If you get to see Remy it's a big plus. We're going back on our June trip. It's one of our favs.

On our no parks trip we decided to do Epcot and was able to get Les Chefs for lunch. It was Christmas week and our options were few and far between. Well we LOVED IT!! Dh is even telling people about it. We got to see Remy, eat delicious onion soup and eat chocolate sauce of the Gods!! It was one of our best meals and my kids have it in our rotation list!

We enjoy it for lunch but have not been overly impressed with the 3 dinners we've had here.

It is better than San Angel though.

We ate there in late Oct ... pretty middle of the road for me. As MissBritt mentioned, the interior is very nice, but the food is a bit on the bland side. My mom thought our waitress was rude, but I didn't have any issues and thought the staff was good. I remember the onion soup was tasty.

Overall I wouldn't make it a top priority to eat there again, but at the same time I wouldn't have any issues eating there if I needed to fill a reservation.

I did get to see Remy as he was finishing up for the day (he worked the lunch/early dinner crowd until around 5PM), so that was a cool treat

We have always enjoyed Chefs until our dinner in Oct...the food arrived super fast and cold and it wasnt good at all.

I do like Chefs for lunch but prefer SAI...we ate there in Nov and the food was excellent!

The interior is gorgeous and we have found the waitstaff to always be wonderful. Remy is a cutie-patootie!!! We have eaten there 3 times. The first two times I would say our favorite lunch. The last time just wasn't that good. We found the food only so so.

I think if you stick with the basics: French Onion soup, grilled cheese... you will really enjoy it. Oh and the french fries were yummy.

We have eaten there twice. The first was in conjunction with the Candlelight Processional. The food was okay, but the service took over two and one half hours!! The waiter messed up the bill and it was a nightmare trying to straighten it out. The manager topped it off when I expressed my concern about the length of time it was taking and that we needed to be in line soon for the CP. He actually told me to "carry my mother piggy back" so we could make it in time. She was 81 years old. I had to speak to him twice, trying to get the bill straightened out. Talk about rudeness!
I really should have written WDW about this manager. When I posted my store, I had several others agree with me about this person--seems as though they had had similar experiences with Chefs de France.

I even gave it a second try this past summer with my daughter's family and things were going okay and then the waiter just seem to forget about our family -- between the entree and dessert courses. He too messed up the dessert for some, did not refill drinks as requested and in generally was really out in space.

After two tries, I have decided there are too many other better places to spend my money at Epcot and will no longer visit Chefs de France.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with all the posts here. Very bland, very basic. DH got the chicken and we decided I actually cook one better than shat we got for dinner. I think if you're just getting soup and dessert you might be ok. But if you just want dessert, it's easier to get at the dessert shop outside.

Also unfortunate, my DH won't even try the upstairs now - because of the bad experience. I'll keep working on him for that. :wizard:

I love the ambience and I've had good service, but to me the food seems "unintentionally retro," like eating at a mid-level American faux-French restaurant circa 1977. My dad would have called it "hotel food." This is now an outdated term now since many hotels have world-class food, but it refers to food that is competent but expensive and not memorable. I'll still eat there, but just not on every trip. I enjoy having a leisurely lunch there, sipping wine and having some pate and cheese (which are very ordinary, but decent), but I wouldn't choose it for a big-bucks dinner.

However, I will say that is is better than some of the tourist-trap bistros in Paris! But compared to the good bistros here and abroad, it falls way short. Anyone who has ever eaten at Bistro Jeanty or Bouchon in Napa Valley will know what I mean.
