It's no joke! There's now an adapter for your iPhone that allows you to attach your favorite Canon or Nikon lenses!!! It turns your iPhone into a dSLR!!!

(ok, it's not really gonna be a dSLR, but at least it'll use dSLR lenses)

Or, imagine if you only wanted to bring your Canon "L" lens, but didn't want the hassle of bringing the camera body: :confused3

Wow, people invent the strangest things. It seems such in the middle of two markets that don't really seem to clash. The people who want quick photos of their families or vacations etc most likely wouldn't own an SLR camera and people who own SLR lenses own them because they have an SLR camera so why wouldn't you use use the camera? It's such an odd thought to me to take your lens without the body. Oh well, there's a market for everything I suppose haha

And I thought putting my 50 - 200mm lens on an Olympus PEN camera was strange

I saw this earlier today and was interested until I saw the price.

Except for ease of getting the image out onto the web, I have NO idea why anybody would buy that. If you are going to shoot with expensive DSLR lenses, why wouldn't you shoot with a DSLR?

I was first intrigued by the idea of video on the iPhone. More as just something to play around with, not anything serious. At that price however I cannot see that many being sold.

Then there is the issue of how long it is relevant. Once Apple redesigns the iPhone and you upgrade this is rendered out of date (unless you use your iPhone as an iPod Touch without cellular service).

OK....... can someone help me find the link to the adapter for my 2007 flip phone with the 1/3 megapixel cameral???????

:rotfl2::lmao:

Please everyone laugh with me...... not at me.......I get enough of that from the kids.......

Video would be a good use for it.

It's almost as ingenious as the USB Typewriter!

You can buy a USB Typewriter for your iPhone or iPad. No more texting using those tiny on-screen "keys". Use the USB Typewriter as your full-fledged keyboard.

Or, use it as a replacement keyboard for your computer!

Here's the link (which includes a YouTube video that demonstrates this): http://www.usbtypewriter.com

ps. the USB Typewriter also works with paper.

Wow, for just $249 you get lots of features:
  • Manual focus
  • Inability to control aperture (unless the lens allows you to do so)
  • Loss of 1-2 stops of light
:thumbsup2

Now I have an excuse to get an Iphone - I can use my Rokinon Fisheye with it!

I wonder what the sensor conversion factor is (they didn't have that in the FAQ)?

If only you posted this earlier. I just bought an apple keyboard on eBay for my iPad. This is so much cooler and 100 times the weight.

Isn't that kinda like buying a Mercedes convertible then putting a lift kit on it and adding extra large off road tires.

Why bother.
