Length of stay tickets?

I'm starting to solidify our DL vacation plans and ran into a little snag. We are planning on visiting the resort for 8 nights/9 days. We plan on visiting the parks every day. The longest pass offered on the DL website is for 6 days and costs $251. The Deluxe AP costs $379. It seems like a really big jump in price and we know that we will not be be visiting again in the next year. Additionally, we plan on eating many meals in our DVC villa and don't buy a lot of souvenirs (so I don't think we'll save a lot by having access to the AP discount). The extra $120/pp to upgrade to the AP seems like a huge jump considering the difference between the 5 day park hopper and the 6 day park hopper is only $5.

Do they offer anything like a length of stay pass?

I beleve they do offer longer stay tickets, just not online. Call Disney and ask about it.

They seem to internationally. I see a lot of posts that a Canadian website called flightcentre has longer passes - 8 days, I think? People seem to have been able to purchase these in the US, from what I have read. I have not tried it, though.

I found them for up to 9 days on the disneyland.com website without even trying. Wonder if I can find it again ROFL

Wow, 9 days seems like a lot of days to go into the parks everyday for DL. Were you going to go anywhere else? Universal, beaches, San Diego?

I would call Disney directly if you would like more days on your tickets.

I've been trying and the most I can find with 6. I tried going through the book a vacation package procedure to see if more ticket would pop up as an option and it didn't. If you can find it, send me a link :)

As far as 9 days at DL, this is how we've vacationed for years and we love it. DH is from CA and I've traveled around there quite a bit, I don't feel drawn to see any of the other sites. Additionally, DH's family is scattered throughout CA. Instead of spending a week in a car traveling all over the state and worrying about ticking off whoever we're not going to see, we go to DL and tell the family to find us there :) :) :)

Yeah I'm upset I can't find it again! I'll keep looking. It was cool too cuz it showed a breakdown of how much less each day was if you bought more days (make sense? haha) I'm tooooootally jealous of 9 days!

I just called vacation booking number and they told me 6 days is as high as they go and to buy an AP. I'm really disappointed. The price jump just seems so huge, especially x3!

I'll look into that Canadian site mentioned above. Though with their post on strike I might wait a little bit.

Our trip isn't until January so we have some time to try to figure this out! :)

What the heck! I know I saw it like 4 days ago! UGGGHHHH. I actually thought to myself, hey you should bookmark this.

boo!

I have never done this myself, but I've heard people talking on this site about adding extra days to their passes after they got to the park, for about $10 or $15 per day. Could you buy 6 day passes and then add on days once you're there?

I think you found the website by going through the wardrobe. As you know, you can only find it if you aren't looking for it!

:rotfl: I should go over there and look at something completely different :lmao:

Depending on your computer settings, you might be able to find it in your History in your browser.

Gooooood Idea. I'll see what I can dig up. Grrr. I will find you, crazy mystery page!

Boo! Isn't that the way things always work. I'm especially glad that I'm researching this so early. Now I can constantly search to see if it pops up again.

I'd love to have confirmation of this really working. It would be just fine with me! :) :)

In the past we've always bought AP's because they saved us so much on hotel rooms and dining. Now that we have DVC, we really don't need either. I just found that we can get a discount on AP's with our DVC membership, but its only $20.

That Canadian site does have 7 day tickets! We're getting closer! :)

GRR! I think I found it in my history and it said that the 'page no longer exists'!

Sure Disney! They're on to us!

Thank you so much for trying! With slightly more than 7 months to figure this out I will find a solution. I also know that when (fingers crossed) it does pop up, I'll jump on it! :)

I actually just posted about Flight Centre. And they offer 8 day park hoppers. They aren't listed on the website but when I called for information, the operator asked me if I wanted them because they were the same price as the 7 day hoppers. $200 for adults and $177 for kids, all taxes and fees included. If you call you will get a better price than ordering on the website. And for the postal strike, I am sure it won't last too long. So unless you are going in the next couple weeks, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

YOU CAN GET 8 day HOPPERS directly from Disney, just not *ahead* of time.

I can confirm from recent threads here and elsewhere that they DO have the ability to get up more than 6 days. Here's what you do: buy 6 day hoppers. At some point in time closer to your visit, you are going to need to call them, talk to a lead, and they can add your name and your exact dates to a list of exceptions, and when you get to DLR, you go there, and pay a relatively small amount and you can get an 8 day hopper (am not sure they have 9, but perhaps so, I only know that two folks have this in process for 8 days).

Look up a recent thread by user Tino, perhaps send him a PM and get the exact names/#'s to call.

And we did 8 days in Dec 2009 (4 nights PPH, 4 nights DLH), and believe it or not, still managed to not do somethings! We loved it. We did the same thing too (I have family down there), Hey come see us at Disneyland!!
