We're heading to see the mouse in a few weeks & we're taking some family friends & the in-laws. I'm trying to decide the best way to do tickets (somehow I became the official travel agent). We're AAA members & military & will need either 3 or 4 day passes (don't really think we need the plus portion). I can get 4 day park hoppers through the military for $202, but remembered that if they're registered in our room with DVC, that there's some sort of length of stay passes? Does anyone know these rates? We'll be coming in on the 5th & checking out on the 10th. Probably could drop 1st & last day (definitely last day). Anybody with any info would be greatly appreciated!

If you go to the main page of this board there is a link that shows you the rates - or you can check the Walt Disneyworld main site. I find this board easier to use.
I believe that you may have to buy the length of stay (now called Ultimate Park Hoppers by Disney to keep you confused) passes for the length of your reservations. I have heard of people being fortunate enough to chop off days at the beginning and end. I have never been able to get away with that. I just bought a 4 day hopper through AAA for $213 for an adult so you have a good price with the military. An addvantage to the regular park hopper is that it never expires whereas your length of stay (ultimate park hopper) expires when your reservation ends. If you can shave days off the ultimate park hopper and also get the 10% DVC Member Discount it might prove to be cheaper but your going to have to wait til you get there to try to find out if you will be allowed to get a length of stay pass that is shorter than your reservation period. Good luck!

The DVC discount is 10% off the gate price for the UPH (Length of Stay) passes only. Most DVC front desk CMs will allow you to drop both the arrival and the departure day if you ask.

Unless you plan to visit DQ, the waterparks and/or PI quite frequently during your stay, you will almost surely be able to get by cheaper with the hopper passes - especially if you can get the military rates.

Ticket Price Comparison Info

Prices listed include taxes if applicable, but the UPH prices do not include the DVC 10% discount. Be sure to apply it to the gate prices.

Best wishes -

I think you're best bet would be to get the Stars and Stripes Pass from SOG upon arrival. Price for four days is $209/adults. That way you'd have access to all the parks including DQ.
