Length of Stay Pass?

Forgive me if the question seems stupid. I noticed on the DIS that there is a military "Length of Stay" pass for sale. I tried to compare it to rates I'm getting at our military base, but I don't know what the difference is....please help.

The military length of stay passes, called Magic Your Way Stars and Stripes passes, are equivalent to Disney's old Ultimate Park Hopper tickets.

The passes you are probably seeing at your base are either old Park Hopper Plus tickets, or Magic Your Way tickets. Those both limit the number of plus visits you have available. The Length of stay passes give unlimited admission for plusses, and park hopping.

Sorry, I forgot to add that the length of stay passes are only good for the "length of your stay" (hence the name), and are based on the number of nights you are staying. They do expire at midnight the day you check out.
