Length of Character Meals

How long do character meals take? We usually eat at off times and would either book a late breakfast or an early dinner. We're just trying to get an idea.Thanks!

I say budget 1 1/2 hrs to allow for seating time food and character interaction.It can be done in less if....you are seated on time, the characters come out right away and come to your table relatively quickly,you eat fast, and get your bill taken care of.I found with a 4 yr old last trip we were out of the restaurant in about 1 1/2 hrs.

I have a few character breakfasts booked for the buffet factor (lots of menu options). Do we have to sit around and wait for all of the characters, or can we just eat and leave after we settle up our tab?

If you are done and want to go, just get your bill from the server ,settle up, and go.You do not need to wait for all the characters if you don't want to.

There are a few factors here.....breakfast is usually faster as you are eating less and less courses. A dinner at 1900 Park Fare can take longer as you are travelling to the buffet for Apps, Dinner and dessert.

A family service meal (where they bring the set meal to your table) is much faster. I think the timing is accurate though - 60-90 minutes. The charaters come out prettry quick - they try to turn the tables everyhour I think.

meals are large. The 90 minutes suggested above sounds right by our experience if you want to see all of the characters. CRT is the smallest character meal and the meals are pre-plated so it takes considerably less.

We've gotten through our meals in 60 minutes. Plenty of time to eat and see all the characters. We like to do an 8:05am breakfast and be at rope drop at 9am, and we've had no problems doing that at H&V, CP or Tusker House. Sometimes the characters will circulate through twice and you can sit for as little or as long as you'd like.

It all depends on the restaurant you are eating at (depends on size of restaurant and number of characters). But, that being said, our character meals normally last between an hour to an hour and a half.

I don't remember any of our meals taking more than an hour. I have to be honest though and say that I was enjoying myself too much to worry about the time. I know we had 8:05 and 8:10 breakfast ADRs and made rope drops and I don't remember them seeming in any way longer than any other meal. You start getting your food pretty much right away at the character meals and they send the chracters out fairly quickly too as they want to be able to turn those tables over, from what I saw.
