Has anyone used Lendingtree.com for a home equity loan? What kind of fees did they charge? Were you happy? We are looking to get a $25,000 loan, 7% or less interest rate, for 10 year. We need to pay off some high interest credit cards, do some home improvements, and of course, vacation to Disney!

I have never used them, but, check around if you do decide to go with them. You must be able to get something extra out of it somewhere. Maybe frequent flyer miles with Northwest Airlines or points from MyPoints.com. It seems like I have seen some sort of extra credit from them somewhere.

I used Lending Tree last year for my refinance. I got a rate of 5.13% for 30 years. Lending Tree didn't charge me a thing. The fees that I paid were through the mortgage broker I went through which I believe was called Equity Mortgage. I ended up with my mortgage through a company called ABN Amro who, so far, have been VERY good. I got several different quotes from Lending Tree. I went with the one that had the lowest interest rate and lowest fees.

I used lendingtree for our mortgage when we moved 3 years ago and got quotes when we refinanced. Ended up using the same lender we go our orginal mortgage from for the refinance but they didn't quote from lendingtree that time.

There are no fees for using lendingtree, the fees would be with the lender and they should disclose those. I think they'll allow up to 4 quotes and you can compare interest rates & fees with each.
